It's a good time, a good time. Enjoy everyone.
Definitely an interesting first exposure to The Witcher in general. I'd heard about TW3 for ages, and I figured playing the second one and reading the plot of the first would be the best way to get into it. The story is okay, the visuals are a lot better than I anticipated for the time it was released. I also thought it would be more open world, but it's definitely more hub-focused. That being said, the game was in DIRE need of fast travel, a better map, and less invisible walls. Combat is also.. interesting. I actually can appreciate the choreographed swordsmanship and the like for the first ten or so hours of gameplay, but it does get clunky. The swordsmanship path really should have made the combos snappier so controls felt more responsive. There's also some gems in the OST, and the characters were definitely more compelling. Hopefully all of that's built upon in TW3. Solid 3/5.
