Reviews
The focus on Eve's body is not a hindrance, but at the very least, a complement to the quality of an already fantastic game.
As you probably know, Stellar Blade has a lot of...visual appeal. A WHOLE LOT of it. Everywhere. Constantly. But, on top of that, it had fun, engaging, and rewarding gameplay as well as interesting world lore if you give yourself permission to explore. I am not entirely sure why people were so critical of the story. I thought it was sufficiently engaging, entertaining, and thought-provoking. Perhaps there were a few tropes that were trite and a couple of narrative points that needed more fleshing out, but taken in its entirety, these factors did not detract from the quality of the game. Sidequests were also well integrated into the story to help add to the worldbuilding in-game. Each mission kept me wanting to know more and I had so much fun playing through the game to do so. The fights were fluid, the puzzles were intuitive, and the player interface was smooth, free of needless clutter. I do not usually play action games like this, so I went in with low expectations. I was so very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend this game.
An absolutely hot chick
my favorite game
Stellar Blade, a extremely fun character action game, It may start off slow but ramps up the action the further you get into the game. The main difference between this and games like DMC or nier is that this game puts in a parry mechanic. not to say that those games dont have one but the way it is utilized here feels more out of a necessity then something you can do. Mainly being that dodge in this game is not as strong as in those games. You will need to parry. Parrying adds a differnt level of focus/ observation to the game of memorizing and looking at the wind ups to moves. Correctly timing the attacks and parrying feels satisfying and is even more so when Eve can lay out a bunch of damage, in unique cool ways. Theres some skill expression here between what combos you do to what beta skills you choose to use your resource on. Instead of just doing a light or heavy combo there is some variance to how you punish bosses and enemies. And if you do it right you might lock some enemies out of a turn completely killing them before they can act. Its this act of playing defensive just enough for you to go monkey mode which is really fun. The story isnt any thing special however I do love the world and lore they set up here. The characters and story are serviceable enough to keep you going. I like the ideas and themes but I think the execution could have been better. The music and visuals are well done to the point where your goona be jamming out to tracks and just looking at some of the amazing backdrops. Overall If a more calculated character action sounds like something you want to try. please try this.

I'd never heard anything about the soundtrack before playing, but what an incredible soundtrack it is. I stop for long periods of time to listen to the music at rest points. It's really beautiful. I'm shocked that this game was maligned. It's objectively good, reminding me of titles from the xbox golden-age with modernized fighting mechanics. It's a very videogame-y videogame in all the best ways. Stellar Blade reminds me that quality single player action games are still very much alive and well. And this one has fantastic butts in it.
love this game
Fanatastic game. Went in mostly blind aside from fanart and clips on twitter. Eve is beautiful, animations are very good, fun combat through a surprisingly large world, intriguing story, and just enough side content imo. doesn't feel like a chore to run around doing puzzles, platforming, and minibosses for collectibles and upgrades. ending was weird but kinda expected, story was pretty decent overall and i had read that was the most common gripe. I get it but it wasnt a dealbreaker, I thought it was good. a few platforming segments were weird. some animations feel like they trap you so you cant parry but you get a feel for it. haven't done NG+ yet but will get to that eventually. no performance issues.
