First and foremost I am writing this review on me experiencing this in SINGLEPLAYER. That being said; played this game back in Alpha years ago and was excited for the full release. Now? I'm disappointed. I'm surprised this game has so many positive reviews, since you'll notice that only <15% of players actually completed the game. This isn't because the game is difficult, but because it is tedious, repetitive, and in the long-term: boring. Your hunger and thirst go down way too fast, even on easier difficulties and after eating multiple foods. And the worst of all is EVERY tool has durability. Every tool, from your hook, fishing rod, shovel, spear, clothes, gear, paddle, gun, batteries, every tool. It would have been better if non-scrap tools had infinite durability but were expensive to build, giving you a better sense of accomplishment and easing the load. Instead you are in a constant cycle of making tools for them to inevitably break and then use again. Why would I make the expensive version of tools if like the cheaper alternatives they'll eventually break? You can't even repair them, you HAVE to break them. All that combined with the awful crafting mechanics and storage makes the experience slow and lacking. So much so that I doubt it would be fun even in multiplayer.
Score: 8.5/10 Raft takes a very different approach to survival games. Instead of surviving in a frozen wilderness, you're stranded on a tiny raft in the middle of the ocean, collecting floating debris to stay alive and expand your floating home. What it does well ✅ Excellent Co-op The game is much more fun with friends. Working together to gather resources and build a massive raft is highly satisfying. ✅ Building System You start on a tiny platform and can eventually create huge floating bases. Lots of freedom for creative designs. ✅ Relaxing Gameplay The ocean atmosphere is calm and enjoyable most of the time. Great balance between survival and exploration. ✅ Progression Constantly unlocking new technologies gives a strong sense of advancement. Weaknesses ❌ Can Become Repetitive Gathering resources from the ocean can feel grindy after many hours. ❌ Shark Annoyance The shark attacks your raft frequently, especially early in the game. ❌ Less Challenging Survival Once established, survival becomes much easier You'll probably enjoy Raft if you like: Valheim Subnautica Minecraft Base building Exploration Co-op gameplay
ehh i shouldnt be starving 10seconds after eat a whole ass steak, games whack.
PROS - Addictive and rewarding survival gameplay. - Satisfying base-building and progression. - Surprisingly engaging story. - Excellent co-op experience. - Relaxing atmosphere with plenty of exploration. CONS - Resource gathering can become repetitive. - Early-game progression feels grindy. - Solo play is noticeably less enjoyable than co-op. VERDICT Raft is one of the most enjoyable survival games available. It combines exploration, crafting, base-building, and a surprisingly interesting story into an experience that's consistently fun from beginning to end. If you enjoy survival games (especially with friends), this is an easy recommendation. 9/10
с кайфом полностью прошли её, очень интересная, было реально круто просто зачилиться с друзьями на этом плоту
I didn't think id like this game but I do. Its very addicting and rewarding. It may start off a lil slow but it gets better and better the longer u play it. Some of the islands are better then others but they all have their quirks and puzzles which add to the fun with friends and a good team.
this game is very very fun!!! Even though I am scared of oceans and sharks, i still played this game and it was worth it!!!
Words cannot describe how much I loved and enjoyed playing this game. From the nostalgic memories as I played this since it's release, to now finally having this game 100% complete.. It's been such a beautiful journey.
I held off buying this game for literally yearts, as it didnÄt look too thrilling. But I only saw the "debris floating towards you" stuff and nothing of the other gameplay. So I thought there must be way more to it with that positive rating. Sadly, the game is far too grindy and far too basic to be fun for me. After 3 hours, I had my gathering nets setup, but were still stuck at not finding the right islands to progress my research. Also, everything feels like there is no spark to it. Once you have the basic survival sorted, it's just more of the same with extra steps. But it never gets more interesting. The first few hours play like an incremetatl game with just 1 mechanic. Graphics are basic, music is OK, soundscape is basic. The game does a really bad job at explaining or hinting that there is a story progression and what you need to do to progress. The gates (researching rare/advanced materials) are non-obvious, as all you have is your journal, which is bound to the main story - which you won't even know how to start. But even if you figured that one out, the curve seems very flat in what you progress towards. I would say, the survival aspect is not very interesting. This games seems to be best played if you are into base building and decorating - optimally with friends. So for me, I should not have bought this - not even on sale, like I did. A ham pizza would have been more fun all in all for same price.
Thought the game was good til the shark killed me after being shot in the face with an arrow. This normally stuns the shark. This time it did not. Game takes inventory when you die.
