Heavy Rain is definitely a product of its time. since its a 2010 game, playing it in 2026 can feel a bit odd. The keyboard and mouse controls aren't very user-friendly, and i also ran into a few bugs during my playthrough. One thing i really liked is that the game has multiple endings, which adds a lot of replay value. your choices genuinely matter, and that's one of Heavy Rain's biggest strengths. As for the story, it wasn't quite as amazing as i had expected. however, considering it was released in 2010, it's still a very solid and well crafted narrative. The Origami Killer storyline is also interesting, but i won't say anything more because it would spoil the experience. overall, despite its dated controls and a few technical issues, Heavy Rain is still worth playing for its branching story, memorable choices, and multiple endings. Rating: 8/10 ⭐
I got Heavy Rain on a huge sale and still felt robbed. The game is incredibly annoying to play, mostly because of how it's designed. It feels like you're watching a movie, except the game constantly makes you press random buttons just to keep things moving. It could have been a good story-driven game if it had been executed better. Honestly, I don't understand why so many people recommend it.
I would like to open this review with a formal request for the arrest of whoever decided that emotionally devastating quick time events needed to be executed via full body gyro flailing, because I have never looked more unhinged in my life than I did shaking my Steam deck violently in the air trying to get a grown man to escape a collapsing building. This is a game about grief, fatherhood, and a serial killer named after origami, and I respect it deeply as a piece of interactive storytelling. I also spent a solid twenty minutes of my playthrough looking like I was trying to physically exorcise my hardware rather than playing a narrative thriller, because apparently the correct way to open a car door in this game is to whip my entire handheld console through the air like I'm trying to start a lawnmower. Cursing might've been involved too so play this at your own risk.
I was able to save someone because I rizzed up a journalist and slept with her 10/10 game
Eksiler- Kamera açıları. Bazı görevlerdeki tuş kombinasyonları Artılar: Hikaye + madison page ablamız. Yılına göre baya iyi modelleme yapmışlar. Menü güzel çok dolu dolgun..
Heavy Rain is one of those games that reminds you why narrative driven games became so popular. Even today, its branching story, constant tension, and meaningful choices make it a gripping experience. Every decision feels like it matters, and the game does a great job of making you second guess yourself. The atmosphere deserves a special mention. Rain soaked streets, moody lighting, and a haunting soundtrack create the perfect setting for a detective thriller. While the controls can feel a little clunky by modern standards, they also add to the feeling that you're desperately trying to hold everything together. That said... the game's age definitely shows, and sometimes in the funniest ways imaginable. My favorite unintentional comedy moment came when I walked into a police station, pointed a gun directly at a detective, and... absolutely nobody cared. The detective was understandably concerned, but the rest of the station acted like this happened every Tuesday. One officer kept casually eating donuts, another continued staring at paperwork, and everyone else just ignored the armed standoff happening ten feet away. Apparently, police training in this universe includes "mind your own business." It's moments like these that completely shatter the tension, not because they're bad, but because they're so bizarre that you can't help but laugh. The game aims for cinematic realism, but every now and then it accidentally wanders into sitcom territory. Even with these dated quirks, Heavy Rain remains a memorable experience. The story kept me invested, the characters were compelling, and the choices genuinely made me anxious about what would happen next. The occasional unintentionally hilarious scene only added to the charm rather than ruining it. Heavy Rain may not have aged perfectly, but it's still an excellent interactive thriller. Just be prepared for the occasional reminder that video game NPCs once had the situational awareness of decorative houseplants. 8.5/10 – A fantastic mystery with real emotional weight, sprinkled with enough accidental comedy to make some scenes unforgettable.
Enable Steam-input and set the rightstick deadzone-type to "Cross" If using a controller, that is. The various swirl-movements literally (almost) don't work otherwise. I just came from Fahrenheit from this same developer which I as the first game in my Steam-library abandoned halfway through due to the controls/QTEs and was about to do the same with this until that above tip fixed things -- and I'm now really glad I didn't. Massively engaging and very much advised to any narratively focused player. Still a few too many QTEs, and unless you like them significantly more than I do you should as such probably play on the easy setting ("I play games occasionally") but it's more than compensated for by everything else once you fix that controller deadzone issue. Graphics, music, story; top-notch (even with the plot holes...). A new favorite in my library.
