On a first playthrough Deathloop is an absolute joy to play from start to finish. Figuring out how to kill all the targets in a single loop is the main focus of the game, along the way you will interact with the different characters and adversaries in your way. The best part was by far the dynamic between the two main characters of Colt and Juliana, both of the voice actors give some of the best perfomances I have seen. Their interactions were some of my favourite moments of the game. The problem lies with the fact that after a first playthrough the game becomes pretty baren and empty, the only real method of going through again is by following the path the game wants. Pretty disappointing for a timeloop game. This is made worse by the fact that this is made by Arkane, the makers of Dishonored. Which was one of the most replayable series out there. If you intend on only playing one I think it is worth getting on sale, if not then I'd pass for another.
One of the buggiest and most frustrating games I have ever played. Out of the 10 hours I spent with it, almost half were wasted restarting my PC. The game constantly showed an “Access Violation” error and crashed completely. Even worse, it would not launch again unless I restarted the PC.
If it's on sale, definitely get it! Fantastic game, I loved the merging of FPS gameplay with a nice story and good puzzle-solving elements. It felt a little clunky until i got used to it, but then it was super fun to play. I don't like the online mode, however- at least not as an invading player. The P2P matchmaking has you rubber-banding around at the host PC's whims. In most games as an invader, it's almost unplayable, even if you have excellent internet.

You're going to hate this game until you don't
this is a small, stupid game that they shouldn't have made at all. 25 hours of running around picking up little notes that do something to move the game forward, maybe? i will never know what kind of game this even was beyond fps. but picture a multiplayer map, except very small and all bots. they promise some kind of skill tree but i got a double jump and a link beam that creates multikills. that's it. there must be more powers or special guns or something but i've been to each area at each time of day and you just get bum rushed by enemies and wake up again. yes, you can sneak around, but after maybe two stealth kills you get attacked by the julia and have to reveal yourself and then you get bum rushed by enemies and get killed and wake up again. frustrating and humbling this made me feel terrible in my soul. it felt like a prank
crap
