One of my favorite games of all time. RIP Arkane Studios Austin and F Microsoft for killing that studio.
Still worth playing in 2026 - It allows multiple solutions to many of its puzzles, and many of them are seamlessly integrated in the gameworld, instead of being their own minigames. - It presents an interesting story that unfolds in several layers. There were several points were I thought "Yeah, this is it, now I know where thios game is going" only to be surprised by more. -Overall, it has a good balance between action, story and problem solving as gameplay elements, and allows you a lot of freedom in how you'd like to tackle what is in front of you. - it rewards exploration and experimentation without overwhelming you with a huge wolrd map or achievement hunt that exist simply for the sake of wasting your time. - It looks very good, even now, for a 9 year old game. - The care and attention given by the makers are evident in so many small details all over the game.
This is more of a utility-focused shooter than a traditional one. Combat revolves around using abilities and gadgets to control enemies and create openings, rather than simply relying on gunplay. If you're expecting a more straightforward shooter, the gameplay may not be what you're looking for. I also never connected with the story. I kept waiting for it to pull me in, but it never did, and I eventually quit halfway through. If that gameplay loop and narrative work for you, you might enjoy it more than I did.
It was fun but didn't grip me. I gave it a good shot and couldn't stay hooked. Still think its a fantastically made game worth everyone's time, just not for me.
I originally got this game for free on the Epic Games Store, but it was so incredible that I bought it again on Steam just to support it. It's a phenomenal sci-fi shooter. Honestly, the Mooncrash DLC is even better than the base game the mechanics are incredibly unique. Compared to Deathloop, this game is an absolute masterpiece. It is deeply tragic that we will never get a sequel.
Prey 2016 is one of the top 10 games of all time. Extremely replayable. My 500 hours is purely from the base game. The Mooncrash roguelike included with the game is less polished than the base game, but adds more content. I've not played it yet.
Prey gave me post nut clarity so severe I briefly achieved consciousness beyond the human experience. Not sadness. Not regret. Just that terrifying moment where all stimulation leaves your body at once and you suddenly perceive your entire existence with clinical objectivity.
容易迷路,特别是找各种门禁卡时,无重力飞行容易晕,武器基本没啥手感,剧情优秀自由度很高,用技能可以变成任何物体,任何NPC都能杀,总之是沉浸式模拟类游戏不可不玩的佳作
Best game Arkane ever produced plus best outer space in-games experience as a bonus on top.
Amazing game. It's very underrated and sits side by side with Dishonored. High replay value and it has a beautiful crafted world. Various ways of playing and great game mechanics.
