Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
A world of questions, philosophy, challenges and meaning, or lack of it. Knowledge is some kind of freedom, but here you'll have to think a lot to deserve it, if you do want it, of course. And while god tries to convince me he's useful, I learn that even the most loyal philosopher can't live without his blood. These words could be mine or not, but others have done these choices before me, and I hope I have learned from their mistakes and be able to build on their success. Because to deserve success in the Talos Principle you seriously have to use your brain. The first half of the game has pretty easy puzzles but the second part becomes seriously hard. And even if basically everything is a metaphor of a simulation of something that doesn't exist, it's impossible to deny the charm of this alluring and complex game. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3701073791
Game sat +11 years in my library. Goodness me, what a mistake. It is an absolute gem of a game!
Loved the game until I got stuck on one puzzle and had to ragequit and never play it ever again 11/10
i recommend it to all my friends all the time as a life changing experience but so far only one person actually went through with it. i've been doing it for like six years at this point. so i'm telling it to you reader - stop reading the reviews and just buy it. it's basically free at this point. and then play the second part too and appreciate how far the devs have came with the level design.
The Talos Principle is more than a puzzle game; it is a reflective experience about consciousness, free will, moral responsibility, and the search for meaning. Its great strength is that it does not use philosophy as decoration alone but places the player inside those questions through exploration, choice, and dialogue. What makes the game especially striking to me is the tension between obedience and independence, especially in the conversations with Milton. Those exchanges challenge the player to think about what it means to know, to choose, and to exist, while also exposing how fragile human certainty can be. From a lightly Christian perspective, one of the game’s most interesting ideas is that doubt alone cannot fully explain the human hunger for meaning, purpose, and moral truth. In that sense, the game is at its best when it raises the possibility that reason is powerful, but not always sufficient by itself to answer the deepest questions of existence. At the same time, some of the game’s philosophical moves feel stronger rhetorically than logically. At several points, it seems to move from skepticism about knowledge toward conclusions that come close to nihilism, and that step does not always feel fully earned. From a Christian viewpoint, this is precisely where the discussion becomes compelling: uncertainty about perception does not necessarily cancel meaning, value, or moral order. That is why The Talos Principle succeeds so well as a deep thought provoking game: it is intellectually ambitious, emotionally restrained, and willing to wrestle with questions that many othergamess avoid. Even when its arguments feel somewhat one-sided, it remains memorable because it invites reflection rather than forcing a single airtight conclusion. For players open to philosophical and even spiritual reflection, it offers not answers, but a serious encounter with the limits of logic and the possibility that truth is bigger than pure calculation. Definitely give this one a go.
Very good game about consciousness and faith written by a smart ass that forces a Socratic dialogue on you every 15 to 30 minutes
Unfortunately, I am unable to play this game as I'd wish because there is no colorblind mode. There is an important distinction between red, green and yellow and I am unfortunately unable to tell the difference between the green and yellow :/. I've tried messing with the color settings (saturation, contrast, etc.) but the only way for me to tell even a slight difference was to make the rest of the colors of the game headache inducing. I had a really fun time other than this though so I'm really sad that my options are to play with it being extremely more difficult than intended and inevitably do way too much pointless things or to play in 15 minute increments lest I give myself a migraine.
