_____________8__88_____8 ____________88_8__8_____8 ___________888_____88___88888 __________8888______88_8____88 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______8_______8 _________8888_____8_______8 __________88888____8______8 ___________8888888______8 __888_________88888_8 8888888________88_____ _8888888_______8_____ __888888_______88_____ ___88_____8_____8_____ ____8______8____8_____8_88 _______8888_8__88_8_88888 _____888888_8_88__8888888 ____8888888__88______88888 ____88888_____8_________888 ____88_________8__________8 _____8_________8_____ _______________8_____ ____________8_8_____ _____________88_8_____ ______________88_____ ______________8_____
SGWC is an absolute W. The sniping physics are good, accounting for wind and bullet drop makes every long-range shot feels rewarding. The stealth hits different because you have pure freedom to ghost a compound, and the ability to interrogate targets adds crazy depth to the lore and the Seeker’s story. It is a massive brain move using those interrogations to extract intel and piece together a narrative that actually feels fresh compared to copy-paste modern shooters. Combining that tactical storytelling with infinite options to pull off a hit makes this game truly incredible.
Recommended: The Hitman style fits perfectlyThis game drops the massive open world and focuses on large, sandbox-style mission maps. It feels a lot like the recent Hitman games, which is a massive upgrade.Pros:Well-designed maps with multiple ways to reach your target. The replay value is high due to side challenges. The bullet-cam effects are brutal and satisfying.Cons:Enemy AI can be inconsistent (either blind or aimbots).Minimal story to keep you invested.A great step in the right direction for the franchise. Highly recommended for stealth fans.
I just looooove this game. It keeps me on my toes... Only started gaming 6 years ago and I'm 61 years young and just can't get enough of this calibre game
Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is basically a stripped-down, focused sniper experience, and honestly it works better when you stop expecting a big story or traditional campaign. Because there really isn’t one — it’s more like a set of missions stitched together than an actual narrative. The sniping, though, is very well done. From scope adjustments to bullet physics and gun customization, this is where the game actually shines. It finally feels like a proper sniper game instead of just a military shooter with a sniper rifle. Stealth is also solid, but it doesn’t always feel necessary since a lot of missions can still be handled in more direct ways. The contracts themselves, however, can feel a bit bland and repetitive after a while, which made me honestly relieved when I finished the game. The maps are diverse and well designed, and they’re probably one of the stronger parts of the overall package. Still, they don’t fully save the mission structure, which can feel a bit boring over time. Gunplay is good, but it doesn’t really feel groundbreaking for a 2019 release. It’s something you’ve seen done in other franchises around 2016–2017 already, so it doesn’t stand out as much as it could. The AI is a bit too aware at times, even when you’re using a silenced weapon or hiding in a solid position, which can get frustrating. Graphics are great and definitely one of the highlights of the game. Loadout and weapon customization is also very enjoyable, especially with upgrades, skins, and different ammo types like tracer or AP rounds. The best part of the game is definitely the weapons and sniping system. The worst part is easily the “story,” if you can even call it that. In the end, Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is a solid sniper sandbox, but the lack of variety and weak structure hold it back. 6/10
Contracts is where the Ghost Warrior series finally found a shape that made sense to me. Instead of going full open world, it gives you focused contract zones with objectives to pick apart. That structure works so much better. You still have freedom, but it is not spread so thin that you forget what you were supposed to be doing. The maps are fun to scout, the sniping feels good, and the contract system gives everything a nice sense of purpose. You enter an area, study the targets, plan your route, and then either execute everything beautifully or accidentally create a tactical dumpster fire. The gadgets and tools add just enough variety without making it feel overcomplicated. It gives you room to feel smart, which is dangerous, because the second you feel too smart, the game usually humbles you. Contracts is focused, satisfying, and probably where this series really started clicking for me.
Frustrating. Your character constantly gets stuck in the dumbest areas where you can't do anything except restart from a checkpoint that was made arbitrarily. At the highest difficulty, enemy AI is inconsistent. They will either spot you in 0.1 seconds without any warning, or will be so blind its astounding that you're playing at the highest difficulty. The challenges are bugged too. It will say "kill x and x without raising alarm" as failed, yet still have "complete all contracts without raising alarm" as still active. It infuriates me to no end. I can forgive a lot of things, but the random checkpoints, the inconsistent enemy AI, and the constant getting stuck on the dumbest areas makes this nearly unplayable.
At first this game was confusing. I played it once and laid it off for 3 years. Then i decided to come back to it. I feel like this is for the smarter audience because it requieres skill and stealth technices that are complicated. This game is very fun once you put a silencer on your pistol. 100% good buy for solos.
