I am a big fan of the first game and Miles Morales, so I had some high expectations for Spider-Man 2 coming into the game. Did the game deliver on my excitement and expectations? Yes! The gameplay is more of what you came to know playing through the previous two games, but also introduces some new abilities for Peter and Miles that helps to mix things up. The story for this game provides for another solid entry in this series that will have you engaged from start to finish! The side stuff also gives you plenty to do just like in the last two games, with some of the side stories wrapping things up from previous games while also setting other things up. Overall, I had a great time with this game! I would recommend waiting for it to go on sale since the game is nearly three years old at the time of writing this review, and can be had for $40 on sale (but I'm sure you can find it for a lower price elsewhere). As a side note, I am disappointed knowing if/when they make a third game I won't be able to play it since Sony has decided to move away from porting their games to PC. Though I doubt it, I do hope Sony change their minds on this in the future and go back to releasing their games on PC.

It had some good moments. I modded out some of the awful things they included, but it couldn't save the game from just how bad it is. Felica being bi (nothing against bi's but this was out of nowhere) was the last straw for me. My issue isn't that Felicia has a different relationship, it's that the game introduces a major change to a character whose previous arc was built around her connection with Peter, without giving the player the emotional groundwork to understand that transition. There are so many things in this game that are just boring and tedious too. The whole Robot Bee sidequest? I mean really? I am playing SPIDERMAN, not BEEMAN. I couldn't believe this mini game and story line its just so stupid. What happened to the Taskmaster challenges or story like in the first game? no instead we get bees. I have not even got to the Venom storyline yet, I cannot in good faith keep playing this game. The writing is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad, the story is bad and forced changes across the board makes this not a spiderman game but rather a woke idealistic game with people who have no idea how to write or direct a spiderman game. The first game is SO much better. Honestly its like two completely different spiderman games. One honours the material before it. This one ♥♥♥♥♥ all over it and changes it for no reason. The combat is fun, but the random encounters get old fast and exploration is tedious with the terrible camera angle. I am over this game, what a let down.

Miles: Senti falta de mais tempo de tela e sessões focadas na história principal com o Miles. Peter Parker: O personagem parece ter sido "nerfado" em relação aos jogos anteriores, o que frustra quem prefere o estilo dele. Stealth simplificado: O sistema de furtividade foi simplificado demais, perdendo a profundidade dos títulos passados. a disaster with performance and optimization, wish they properly optimized it like the first game, i tried this with 2 different PCs one weaker than my current, performance is pretty poor and devs were quite lazy with it.

Story is mid and hella rushed, and the performance is garbage. What's even worse is that Spider-Man 3 won't come to PC due to Sony not making PC ports for their exclusives anymore.

If you are on the fence because the game never gets cheap, just do it. This is one of those games you can escape into and always come back to.
