Would have been a masterpiece if it were not for the mandatory 100% of 200+ mind numbingly tedious Riddler puzzles to unlock THE ENDING OF THE GAME!!!! Atleast here on PC we can bypass it with command prompts but whos bright idea was this??????????
A huge majority of players will upvote Batman Arkham Knight but that doesn't convey the splintered tale of the entire game as a whole. Like a storybook marriage between game and player, time eventually cracks the thinly veiled bond. Ultimately you're left with incompetent design, frustration and a bitter divorce between game and player that leaves hard feelings betraying the initial investment. Poster child for Valve's lack of foresight for their binary ratings implementation. + for the main story, production values and the good chunk of game-play that serves as a positive experience. Lossless Scaling compatible and may be required to elevate framerates.
Final Score: 92/100
The pinnacle of batman games, peak combat and stealth was on point better then the spiderman games imo, visually gorgeous game even years later, I love the dark grunge atmosphere, only con is the extensive riddler trophies and forced upon batmobile missions, overall a masterful game to finish of the batman arkham games. If you want to feel exactly like Batman—brooding in the rain, grappling up skyscrapers, and breaking the collarbones of petty criminals in glorious, fluid motion—this game is the absolute pinnacle. Even a decade after its release, Gotham looks so stunning and rain-slicked that it puts most modern releases to shame. The free-flow combat and predator stealth are perfected here, making you feel like a terrifying mythical creature right up until you remember you have to do your taxes. The only real catch is that Rocksteady really wanted you to love the Batmobile. Need to solve an ancient riddle? Batmobile. Track a serial killer? Batmobile. By hour 30, I wasn’t sure if I was playing a Batman game or a very dark, very expensive episode of Pimp My Ride. You will also spend an ungodly amount of time hunting down 243 green trophies just because Edward Nygma built a literal subterranean drag-racing circuit to prove he's smarter than you. Despite the aggressive over-reliance on tank battles and a "twist" villain identity you can see coming from outer space, it’s a brilliant, atmospheric conclusion to the trilogy. Buy it, play it, and try not to think too hard when the game tells you a thug is merely "unconscious" after getting blasted by a 5-ton tank rocket. 9/10.
Dear Basty, ah yes, lets give you a review bats hehehehehahahaha! lets start with the bat mobile, this tank is nothing but a well built machine, it has all the fancy little gadgets that the cape crusader would need to solve all the problems in Gotham City . It's a outstanding piece of work! Now battling against the Batman and the bat mobile is a sight to behold, none stop action. Batman is well trained with all exciting new moves and leveling up system. Grappling from building to building he is an unstoppable superhero. “What kind of a world is it when a man dressed up like a bat gets all of my press? This town needs an enema!” ! best regards, the Joker
Almost everything about Batman Arkham Knight is perfect. The story, combat, atmosphere, and gameplay make it one of the best superhero games ever made. However the mandatory and tedious Riddler puzzles are a major downside and can make the experience feel like a chore. Despite that, the game is still an incredible Batman experience that I would highly recommend 8/10 the Riddler puzzles are the only thing holding it back.
A superhero game that came out more than a decade ago. Can easily compete with recently released superhero games If not stand as the golden bar for the genre. A game way ahead of it's time.
Gotham isn't saved because Batman is fearless. It's saved because he walks forward despite the fear. First game I've platinumed. Worth the money.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn-fNCwkjaM Stepping back into this rendition of Gotham instantly shows why the game's art direction and atmospheric detail still hold up incredibly well years later. The main narrative carries a heavy, dark psychological tone that makes tracking down Scarecrow feel genuinely intense. Traverse and combat feel like they reached their absolute peak here, letting you seamlessly launch into high-speed glides directly from skyscraper ledges or fluidly counter massive mobs of thugs.
Batman: Arkham Knight is the ultimate conclusion to the legendary Arkham trilogy. It delivers an unmatched superhero power fantasy, dropping you into a stunning, rain-soaked Gotham City that feels alive and atmospheric. The signature "Freeflow" combat is at its absolute peak here—fluid, brutal, and incredibly satisfying. If you want to truly be the Batman, this is the best it will ever get. 🟢 Pros Peak Combat & Stealth: The Freeflow combat and Predator stealth mechanics are refined to absolute perfection, offering total tactical freedom. Stunning Visuals: Even years after its release, the game looks absolutely breathtaking with incredible rain effects, animations, and attention to detail. The Ultimate Playground: Gotham City is massive, dark, and filled with secrets, Riddler trophies, and excellent side missions featuring classic villains. Incredible Story: A dark, psychological narrative that pushes Batman to his absolute limits, featuring a brilliant performance by the Joker. 🔴 Cons Overused Batmobile: While driving the Batmobile is fun at first, the game forces you into too many repetitive tank-battle sections that slow down the pacing. Predictable Twist: Without spoiling anything, the identity of the "Arkham Knight" is quite easy to guess early on for anyone familiar with Batman lore. PC Port Legacy: While it runs beautifully now on modern hardware, you might still encounter occasional minor optimization glitches in specific areas. Final Verdict: 9.5/10 Highly Recommended. A masterpiece of the superhero genre. Minor Batmobile fatigue aside, it is an essential game that every action-adventure fan needs to experience.
