Comes with CertsUpdater 1.5 a background utility developed by Saber Interactive Inc. "Malware in my opinion" The software frequently installs silently in the background alongside game patches or updates without explicit player consent. : It often places files within Windows system directories, creates persistent registry keys, and remains running in the background even after the game is closed or uninstalled. Third-party applications altering root authority access can introduce unexpected vulnerabilities or raise malware-like flags in telemetry systems. PS: the Game in Itself is Good... but i cannot support such a intrusion into privacy
Great game, glad I finally got around to it from my backlog. Combat is a ton of fun and the giant set pieces you see throughout the various maps and campaign are insane. However, and maybe this isn't an issue for others but it is for me and how I try to play through games... the missions are just way too damn long. They're sick for sure and I enjoy the overall gameplay loop quite a lot actually, keep finding myself wanting to come back to it, but man it'd be way nicer to be able to pop in and do a 15-20 minute operation instead of having to commit what ends up feeling like a whole movie's length of effort into one run sometimes. That's really my only complaint, beyond now running into some crashing issues which seem to be somewhat common weirdly enough. Just a bit *too* long for me personally. Beyond that though I had a very nice time with it, will probably unfortunately hang it up here though due to these reasons and call it good.
I normally don't write reviews for nearly 98% of the games I play. This game has somehow held me in a near complete chokehold for an entire year (even at 725 hours I'm still finding out new things about the game). The Bimonthly updates have kept me engaged longer than I thought my ADHD would allow me to, which in my humble yet meaningless opinion I must say is a herculean feat. That and the fact that the game goes on sale every other month like clockwork makes it an easy entry point for people new to 40K. I do appreciate the fact that the Devs have made the important parts of the game free (I.E. The weapons, classes, and mission). It’s nice to have cosmetics be the method of monetization because it is infinitely better to have a system that prioritizes a pay to look cooler than a system that is a pay to win. FOR THE EMPEROR!
You spend more time blocking people queueing for a match just so you don't get "Join in progress" for siege, just so you can actually get rewarded for your time playing the game. Most of the time you'll be playing loading screen simulator because hosts are very inconsistent and you can't host your own game unless it's private. I'd like to play and enjoy the game, however the thought of having to sit through multiple loading screens just to even attempt to get into a game sometimes turns me away. Arbitrary gates forcing you to play the way they want you to play it in order to get rewarded, leaving the other modes and sometimes even classes to rot. Sometimes I often find myself having to play a particular class or even modes I don't even want to play because it doesn't feel like any progress will be made otherwise. After being forced to play the way they want you to, you can't even enjoy the other modes. It's either stratagem hard, or absolute operations. Even after maxing all the classes, doing multiple unlocks for all of them, the grind is far too much in this inconsistent playground, and no I'm not just talking about capes. Speaking of which, this is our endgame content? Doing the same difficulty missions that we've been doing time and time again, but this time we get to see a number tick up every time we do so to make us feel like we're achieving something? It did achieve something, massive burn out.

I fell in love with the lore too quickly, only to get a bit disappointed by the actual in-game content. Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is great: you feel badass, the weapons feel awesome, and the enemies and world around you are an honest 10/10. However, as you can tell, I only have 21 hours on the game and have already done everything once. Some may say the point of the game is the grind, but it just doesn't feel rewarding, and the PvP is pretty stale. I don't know what I expected, but I personally have a hard time replaying the same missions just to level up my character, only to repeat them on a higher difficulty.
This game is absolutely gorgeous, and the gore is top tier. Brutal combat, massive battles, and nonstop action keep things exciting from beginning to end. The campaign can get repetitive at times, but the gameplay and atmosphere make up for it. Highly recommended.
I genuinely love Space Marine 2. The gameplay is fantastic, the combat perfectly captures the feeling of being a Space Marine, and it's one of the most enjoyable Warhammer 40,000 games I've played in years. The developers clearly put a lot of passion into creating an excellent game. However, I cannot ignore Saber Interactive's recent decision to hire Steve Allison as Chief Business Officer. Given his role during his time at the Epic Games Store, I am extremely skeptical about the direction this could signal for the company. Whether or not those concerns prove justified, this appointment has significantly reduced my confidence in Saber's future business decisions. Because of this, I will not be supporting Saber Interactive with future purchases for the foreseeable future. I sincerely hope the company proves my concerns unfounded, as I'd much rather be praising their games than questioning their leadership decisions.
Won't stop crashing and now it won't let me play it. Otherwise its a good game though.
