Reviews
Gud.
good soup
It's okay It's a neat little spinoff of the Nioh series using the three kingdoms china period as it's foundation, using what they've learned from Niohs and Strangers of Paradise. It primarily only covers the Yellow Turban Revolution and Lu Bu/Dong Zhou which makes for a very slow pace scenario while only setting up with it's DLC, but regardless, the focus on parrying this time around and learning the movesets of enemies is very fun. Combat being pushed to having a more fast paced push and pull system with the spirt gauge is also very fun; however, it's just very simple. Enemy diversity is not the best, the morale system is a bit annoying although nostalgic and thematic to something like Dynasty Warriors, and some enemies are just a bit annoying to fight. Not only do you have the Chinese element system that is heavily rock paper scissors, some enemies just dodge away too much or pull out instant red attacks sometimes. No matter how interesting your random movesets can be on weapons earlygame, it just pushes you to favor fast, pokey or more fluid attacks so that you aren't surprised by the enemy attacks. Endgame is pretty neat. It's much better this time around in which ALL special effects on weapons/armor can be handcrafted rather than something unique to find. The Thousand Mile journey is a slimplistic loop to climb similar to Stranger of Paradise's rift system minus the grindy powerups in favor for some more direct benefits—it's just neat, simple, but neat.
