In short: the third installment managed to throw away everything that made the series great. The game feels like a low-budget asset flip released without any quality assurance. Here are the main reasons why this game is unplayable: Terrible technical state. The game runs absolutely horribly. Constant stutters, sudden FPS drops out of nowhere, and endless loading screens completely ruin the already choppy pacing. Broken balance. It feels like they tuned the difficulty purely by guesswork and tested it on the fly. Hitboxes are janky, and dodge windows work half the time. Instead of a fair challenge, you just get a massive dose of frustration from cheap deaths. Annoying protagonist. Fury turned out to be incredibly toxic, flat, and repulsive. You feel zero empathy for her. Her entire personality boils down to constant tantrums and baseless screaming. Dumb plot and puzzles. The story doesn't move the universe forward; it just runs in circles. The dialogue is cliché. The puzzles don't make you think—they are just tedious, dragged out, and clearly made solely to pad the playtime. Boring and utterly janky. The gameplay offers absolutely no satisfaction. The combat feels stiff, and the world is dull and repetitive. Instead of an epic adventure of a Horseman of the Apocalypse, we got a boring, clunky, and insanely irritating game. Skip this one, save your sanity and your money. This is an absolute failure.
Great game. One of the easier souls-likes. Should definitely give it a try if you care about the Darksiders universe. Has few very annoying and rage-inducing segments. Pretty much all the bosses have some gimmick to them but even the gimmicks require you to stay vigilant and memorize the patterns. Overall 8/10.
Before playing, make sure to unlock the frame cap using one of the guides here on Steam, or by adding these lines to your GameUserSettings file. Doing this gave me a fantastic, smooth experience playing at 4K/120 fps on my OLED TV. "[/script/darksiders3.darksiders3usersettings] FrameRateLimit=120 DesiredFrameRate=120" As for the game itself, it has plenty of fun moments. The platforming and puzzles feel much better and less tedious than in its predecessors. However, the snap-on mechanic for swinging across poles still feels clunky—just like in the previous games, it occasionally fails to register, sending you falling to your death. I also experienced falling out of bounds once after shifting into a Hollow form mid-air. On the bright side, the "Perfect Dodge" feels satisfying, though the follow-up damage could have been a bit higher without forcing you to dump so many points into the Arcane stat. Also wish there was a backstab button as some enemies are just too conveniently placed. Most bosses were memorable, and I appreciated the unique approach for each one. As a Souls fan, the fact that enemies respawn when you die didn't bother me much, though eventually, I just found myself running past most of them anyway. The overall game length felt just right—neither too short nor too long. I recommend!
Спасибо что добавили возможность выбрать адекватную боёвку в место системы соулса. Но жаль в этой части на коне не поездить. Надеюсь 4я часть выйдет не через лет 10 и более.
Darksiders III takes the franchise in a different direction by ditching the traditional hack-and-slash Zelda-clone formula of the previous games and adopting a more calculated, punishing "Soulslike" approach. Playing as Fury, the most unpredictable and fierce of the Four Horsemen, you are tasked with hunting down the Seven Deadly Sins on a ruined Earth. It is a challenging, atmospheric, and highly rewarding action game that rewards patience and timing. 🟢 Pros Challenging and Tactical Combat: Combat is fast and unforgiving. You must rely heavily on perfectly timed dodges and counters, making every enemy encounter feel dangerous. Great Metroidvania Level Design: The world of Earth is interconnected beautifully, allowing you to use Fury's different "Hollow" elemental forms to unlock new paths, secrets, and upgrades. Fantastic Protagonist and Lore: Fury’s character development throughout the story is excellent, and her distinct elemental weapons (whip, lance, greatsword) keep the combat fresh. Epic Boss Battles: The encounters with the Seven Deadly Sins are creatively designed, visually distinct, and serve as great tests of skill. 🔴 Cons Frustrating Difficulty Spikes: The shift to a Soulslike style means you can die very quickly from minor enemies, which might alienate fans of the more arcade-like Darksiders 1 & 2. Camera and Targeting Issues: In tight corridors, the camera can occasionally struggle to keep up with the fast-paced dodging, leading to some cheap deaths. Performance Rough Edges: You may experience occasional frame drops, texture pop-ins, and short loading hitches when transitioning between major map zones. Final Verdict: 7.5/10 Recommended. It is different from its predecessors, but once you adapt to its more deliberate combat pacing and master the dodge mechanics, it becomes a deeply satisfying and worthy entry in the series.
prosto govno
A mix of God of War and Dark Souls, very fun game, Can't wait for Darksiders 4!
Good-old Darksiders. Great combo of slasher and puzzle! At least in this souls-like game you don't need to be a psycho to make it till the end. P.S. Fury is handsome.
