Twisted Tower is a simple, short, but memorable game that manages to do a good bit with what little it has to offer. This FPS offers a unique and goofy world, oddly disturbing enemies, and 10 weapons to dispose of them with; the weapons also have ALTERNATE firing modes. Also, Despite its short runtime, repeated playthroughs offer a slight change in level layouts for a semi-roguelike experience. My one issue would be that the game itself isn't challenging at all. I also think that a lot of the alternate firing modes were kind of useless and I never found myself using them at all. If they cut a couple of the weapons and instead gave the remaining ones more memorable alt-fire modes it would make things a bit more interesting.

Was pretty good, had a very BioShock meets Walt Disney vibe to it. Solid gameplay, decent progression, great soundtrack; my only real gripe was the weapon bloat towards the end and the lack of bosses. Wasn't expecting to find out that the U.K. had an Alabama.

This is a very hesitant recommend. Twisted Tower is the exact sort of game I wish Steam had "neutral" ratings for. Twisted Tower was clearly developed with a lot of love by a small passionate team led by a lead dev named Thomas Brush. The "evil carnival" theme is great, the puzzles and traversal mechanics feel solid, and it's clear Brush and his team are looking to appeal to old-school BioShock fans with the 1940's aesthetic and emphasis on gun combat against different "classes" of different freaky carnies (i.e. similar to the different splicers in BioShock). Unfortunately, a lot of the vibe is ruined by the fact that Thomas Brush still has the sense of humor of an edgy 13-year-old boy. The game's dialogue is littered with bad sexual innuendos, locations in the tower have names like "Nipple Bridge," and the game's shotgun is literally called a "shart gun." If those sorts of things don't bother you, then fair enough, but these jarringly juvenile undertones really took me out of the moment while I was exploring the tower. Also, no spoilers, but the game's ending is something you'll either find very clever or loathe with a deep passion. For its price, I'd say Twisted Tower is worth playing at least once, especially if you're a fan of moody shooter/exploration games like BioShock. Just know that while the game aspires to reach BioShock's lofty annals of storytelling, it comes up far, far short.

Super fun if you like boomer shooters. Definitely inspired by BioShock which, for me, is a great thing. Loving it.

Gameplay was fun, Environment was cool and pleasing, scratched by Bioshock itch a little bit, but the ending was very unpleasing.

Streamed it live and have to admit, it was pretty fun! I haven't completed Adventure+ but def gonna see how that goes! Felt kinda like bioshock which is great, some guns felt kinda left out compared to others, enemies and i noticed some of the hits didn't register but apart from them? I loved it! 7/10
