Reviews
Normally I wouldn't even consider posting a review with less than an hour's game time, but the controls for both keyboard + mouse and controller are so bad that the game's borderline unplayable.
I did not enjoy this. It looks interesting enough. The main menu and the sounds were interesting. But controlling the ship is aggravating. I shouldn't have to fight the controls. I don't mind hard games when the controls are fluid. I attempted to get used to them but they feel unnatural. Tried both keyboard / mouse and controller, both offered poor controls.
Controls are horrible. Why! A very hard skip until this is fixed.

I like the concept but controls Are not good.
Ok, the game is hard and the weird control scheme doesn't help, but if you just try and git good you can have some fun. The worst thing easily about this game are the controls. Pitch and roll are controlled by mouse and yaw with keyboard, I tried changing it and it didn't work (as in the "plane" was flying even weirder). What awaits you is 13 levels of bright neon colors and I really like the simple design of most things in the game. I also quite like the soundtrack which has a good futuristic vibe to it, even though it gets repetitive after a while. Two problems with the design philosophy I have are that enemy projectiles are physics based, which can kill you because of some wonky physics and the other problem I have is that the two levels are rng dependent. You are looking at 3 hours of playtime, simply because the game is really punishing (there is also hard mode which disables your shields which makes the game punish you even more) and sadly a lot of bugs. If the bugs get fixed I would rate this game 8/10, but now I have to give just 6/10. Its nothing game changing but its definitely better than average game on Steam (which tbh doesnt say much)
Sorry to the developer because it's clear he cares about the game, but the controls are inscrutable. Tried keyboard and mouse and multiple xinput controller configurations: nothing usable. Sorry, unplayable.
It will take approximately 10-20 minutes to find the good settings. After that the game is playable. My biggest issue is that you can't use all the keybind you want. This make the game unplayable for me.
Okay so i gave the game a new shot. The controlls are improved a bunch. So i tried with the mouse 4-6 attempts. Nope still to difficult for me to control. I'll try my x-box controller. Worked nice, strange key to launch with the d-pad up? Still could not get past the second level after 15+ attempts with a controller. There are just to many things to master at once. The controls: pitch, speed, aim, surounding, turning, shooting, lives, energy and time? I don't feel any sence of mastery ater an attempt, and i don't know if I'm close to beating a level or not at all.
Satisfying controls once you get used to it. It's hard, really hard. But it does work and it is very fun to get THE run. Best played on Mouse and Keyboard, you need the 360 control. Also best played on Hard mode. (No HP) You'll learn to dodge, adjust speed, etc, much faster. And the HP is mostly a lie on 'easy mode' since if you get hit by something with strong force, you get launched in that direction, either forcing you into a wall or disorienting you to the extent you'll die 2 seconds later. The only thing the extra HP is good for is slowly driving into a wall to apply a small reverse.
yes, it's frustrating and the controls aren't ideal, but if you play star wars music at the same time it's so sick
