About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

I wanted this to be good, for it to carry the fire the first one had. It just doesn't. It's not just the forced DEI lameness, the completely mid story, or them just reskinning all the creatures from the first game, the gameplay just doesn't feel fun. I've played 80 hours and I have zero interest in this game. It just isn't worth buying. The studio could have done so much, but they just phoned in a crap sequel.
This game is an absolute masterpiece. Absolutely incredible graphics, storytelling, combat.... Truly one of the greatest games ever made. The attention to detail is unparalleled, and it shows in literally every aspect of this game. It only leaves two things to be desired... 1.) For the love of all that is holy.... Can we just for once, please, ever, make a game when companions don't immediately hop into your line of fire in combat? If just one game would do it, I could die a happy man. 2.) There needs to be some sort of out-of-combat regeneration that doesn't involve eating 32 tonnes of food. Maybe a 1hp/5 sec out of combat regen? It's not making the gameplay more difficult, having to eat food. It's just tedious and takes away from the game. Other than that, sheer perfection. I wasn't sure if the sequel would live up to the original. But it's somehow even better.
I don't care what anyone says about Outer Worlds. Its a funny ass game that doesn't take itself seriously at all. I love how goofy it gets, I love how insane and satirical the dialogue and premise are, I love how silly the weapons and armor can get, I love how it doesn't make sense sometimes. A part of me wished this continued based off of some parts of the first game, but I'm happy with the direction it went. Some of the companions I did not care for, I had a hard time caring about their story but nonetheless I enjoyed their quests and the adventure. I <3 Outer Worlds
Nada, no me gustó nada, estaba deseando terminarlo.
Mediocre, especially compared to the previous one. Companions, quests and the world is shallower. For example your protectorate companion has one line of dialogue about robbing the grave of the founder of the protectorate, zero about revelations about it's past and zero if you sell the skull of the matriarch to a vending machine.
pretty design everywhere, fun gameplay, well enough written story. Nothing world changing here but very competent game well worth your time.
I have my money's worth and thats all you can really ask for. Could they have done some things better? of course almost no game is perfect. Is it better then the outer worlds? I dont remember but i am going to replay the outer worlds sapcers choice once it goes on sale. I refuse to play on epic games anymore and would rather buy it again once its on sale then install epic games again
All the necessary ingredients to a great RPG; exploration, economy, and action! Also does a great job of allowing you to choose the way you complete a mission and doesn't funnel you into completing objectives 1 particular way. You get to choose the way that suits your playstyle and character build.
sailed the 7 seas with this one for about 50 hours til i decided that I liked it so much I wanted to buy it! since you know we dont "own" games anymore and cant rent games on PC that is the only way. If i like a game and it runs on my computer I WILL BUY IT! Just like I did with this game. I have no problem starting over because the game is that cool!! BUY IT ON SALE!!! SOOOOOOOOOO worth the $35!!! Much more darker and seriouser than OW1. I like this one much better than OW1!! 7.7/10 I am using TSR 90% 1440p and med settings with Frame Gen turned on and im getting "80" fps!!! XeSS Ultra Quality 80fps - very high settings
I haven't seen this dedication to storybuilding in a VERY long time. THIS, people, is how you write an open-world RPG while integrating modern language, comical villains, genuinely individualized companions, and replayable battle. And, might I say, the ability to save the game as often as you can and fast travel away even though you are in a hostile area is refreshing. This game is not scared of not giving you a happy ending. You absolutely can be a corporate or authoritarian scumbag. The dialog feels genuine, the cringe is perfectly paced and placed, and the replayability is legendary. Inarguably my favorite open-world rpg in the past 10 years besides Clair Obscur, and I only just finished Paradise.
