About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.
High Fidelity Graphics
Explore Arcadia with stunning visual detail. The Outer Worlds 2 supports true 4K resolution on compatible devices and unlocked framerates on PC, delivering smooth performance across sprawling alien landscapes, neon-lit cities, and fractured space environments.
Ray Tracing
Ray tracing adds depth and realism across Arcadia. From glowing rift anomalies to the reflections of neon signs on rain-soaked streets, advanced lighting, shadows, and reflections create a more dynamic and immersive experience.
DLSS, FSR, and XeSS Support
Play with optimized performance across the board. The Outer Worlds 2 supports NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS upscaling, ensuring sharp visuals and higher frame rates no matter your GPU.
HDR
Step into Arcadia with high dynamic range support. HDR enhances contrast and color depth across compatible displays, making every neon light, alien sky, and weapon blast more vivid and lifelike.
Ultra-wide Support
See more of Arcadia with ultra-wide 21:9 display support. From massive corporate facilities to the vastness of space, a wider field of view delivers a more cinematic perspective on the colony’s fractured future.

Reviews
All the necessary ingredients to a great RPG; exploration, economy, and action! Also does a great job of allowing you to choose the way you complete a mission and doesn't funnel you into completing objectives 1 particular way. You get to choose the way that suits your playstyle and character build.
This is a similar situation for me like the first version of this title... I got this on discount for half price and after 30 hours I honestly feel like I still paid too much. The story is not engaging, the environment is nothing new or exciting, it looks great don't get me wrong and besides a few crashes the game runs beautifully and oh did I mention the stroy is not enganging because damn it is meh, forgetable characters and a boring story. If you enjoyed borderlands 4 this is probably going to be right up your ally but if you are like me and after 1700 hours of cyberpunk this is going to be an epic grind your teeth playthrough. Buy this heavily discounted or not at all.
One of the best RPGs I've played, every choice felt like it mattered. You know what sucks though? Unreal Engine 5 and Microsoft. The future of this series is unknown because Microsoft just had to try strong arming us for money and then was shocked when nobody bought it at full retail price. I can barely stand to play this because UE5 sucks such vapid ass. You know what is ♥♥♥♥♥♥? Making a game engine so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible that I have to dig around in the engine.ini settings to fix bugs and watch videos on which graphics settings actually do something or just drain performance. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate AI upscaling and I hate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who decided that it should be mandatory. They're pissing in our faces and saying "Just pretend it's water" It's not water, it's piss. You're pissing on me. I am never buying any game that runs on UE5 again, no matter how good the game is. I can't stand this ♥♥♥♥ anymore.
Obsidian fix this damn game. It keeps crashing, after all the recent updates. It used to run just fine before that.
sailed the 7 seas with this one for about 50 hours til i decided that I liked it so much I wanted to buy it! since you know we dont "own" games anymore and cant rent games on PC that is the only way. If i like a game and it runs on my computer I WILL BUY IT! Just like I did with this game. I have no problem starting over because the game is that cool!! BUY IT ON SALE!!! SOOOOOOOOOO worth the $35!!! Much more darker and seriouser than OW1. I like this one much better than OW1!! 7.7/10 I am using TSR 90% 1440p and med settings with Frame Gen turned on and im getting "80" fps!!! XeSS Ultra Quality 80fps - very high settings
