Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is still one of my favorite games of all time. It's difficult, but the story is compelling, the characters are unique, and I always end up right back in STEM, ready to play again.
Survival horror game with psychological themes throughout. Very satisfying gunplay and great art direction. Story is a bit choppy and characters could have been more fleshed out. 7/10

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

best game
The Evil Within is a wonderfully gory and spooky visceral survival horror experience that plays like the best aspects of Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill fused together. The story is mysterious, surreal and creepy, the gameplay at times feels quite tactical as you'll want to conserve ammo for tougher enemies and if you run out of ammo you might need to hide somewhere and wait for an opportunity to come up behind your pursuer for a stealth kill. That said, this PC port of the game is not without issues and will require a bit of tweaking to run smoothly. Out of the box I experienced issues getting the game to run full screen at 60 fps without screen tearing on my MSI gaming laptop. (I was able to fix this myself by right clicking the game's exe, going to properties and selecting "disable full screen optimizations" and changing the high DPI settings to "Override high DPI scaling behavior performed by application". Now the game runs perfectly well. For an older game, the graphics are great with deep realtime shadows that can at times trick your eye into thinking something is lurking. The player movement can feel a little bit unpolished and stiff compared to other titles but not enough to detract from the overall experience. If you're a survival horror fan I highly recommend playing The Evil Within this spooky season!
好玩
The game and it's horror elements are really nice. On that note, the story does get a little messy. At times, the plot can get so confusing that it was hard to follow what was actually happening, especially in the DLCs. And speaking of the DLC, there was this no-light section that literally took me 23 TRIES to complete. Finally, launching the game is a pain in the ass. It kept making the screen flicker constantly until I manually had to set my screen's resolution to 720p, open the game, change its resolution to 1080p, and THEN remove those forced cinematic black letterbox bars just to make it playable. So. if you don't mind looking up guides to fix the technical display bugs and tweaking settings before your first playthrough, it's worth grabbing, cause I sure didn't.
