Game dev tycoon is a tycoon sim, where you basically have this unrealstic fantasy. You own A HOUSE. Oh, and you make games, I guess. Games are basically made by researching genres (farming sim for example) and adding themes onto it (zombies for example) and based on trends, luck, skill and how little bugs your game has this will either be the next top or flop of the gaming industry. The bigger you get, the more your studio will grow and more people will be able to be hired to assist you on your path to gaming greatness. One thing I really enjoyed was the fact that consoles would release over time by other companies and you could buy licenses for those so that your game (Let’s call it ZombieCabbage) can be on that console, but depending how that console does and how long its on the market (it wont live forever) it can really affect your game longevity. What I also liked is that bugs matter. If you release a buggy mess, most folks would be unhappy and you get bad reviews. Something that honestly shocked me because I am unsure if some games I play have even bugtesters at this point but that’s another discussion fit for another game. As in actual in game bugs, I’ve seen none to be honest. Make sure to check the specs to ensure your pc can run it, but it should be fine. I like that the games are a bit of a gamble. You don’t know how a game will do. For example, Kathtendo (my game company) had a big RPG with zombies that did either very well or badly I cannot remember, but our lifesims kinda flopped. Overall a fun game that rewards exploring, researching and being patient, as you won’t become the next Nentendo or Somy overnight.
I've had this game for a really long time (10 years??? holy cow) and it's still fun to pick up and play every now and again. What a surprise, the game about developing games is a good game!
Finished the standard 35-year cycle in 9 hours. Went backrupt the first time, when I was still figuring out the game. I can't recommend this game enough. Everyone these days is busy playing AAA games, and missing out on these OG simple games which bring far more joy for cheap prices. It's a very basic game that revolves around how you work with the fans, the market, the publishers, the team, etc. and bring forward the best game you can. A lot will flop, a lot will hit the charts, but ultimately, if the game is good, no matter what, you will gain fans and money. I highly recommend this game and I wish more people could experience the fun I had with this game.
Ни рыба ни мясо
the type of game you play for hours for like two days and then forget about it just to remember it 2 years later i like it
Yes, even 12 years later since I have purchased the game, it is still extremely fun and a good little time killer. Simple but well executed for a really fun and addicting game.
Very fun & classic game. I think everyone would enjoy this & suggest it to anyone who has not had the ability to play it before.
divertido demais
