Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Actually just a worse version of any game it looks like. Play Resident Evil. Play Silent Hill. honestly, play a low quality siren head or slender man. Goes on for too long, has a bunch of loading issues, enemies are inconsistent. Every control feels delayed and the story is written by chimps. Buy it for $5, play it for 1 hour, get a refund, don't buy anything made by Bethesda. I hope Todd Howard gets fecal alcohol syndrome.
The greatest horror game I've ever played ever. Surpasses any Resident Evil game I've played. Its fantastic

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game isn't particularly bad, but it gets a bad review due to its excessive gimmicks. I'll point out the good things first, then explain why I'm slamming it with a thumbs down. The art direction is beyond IMMACULATE. It perfectly nails the horror aesthetics and brings what I imagined as the ideal horror atmosphere into reality. Some of the more intense sections' music greatly amplifies the experience. I honestly can't stress enough how wonderful the art design is. However, the game gets dragged straight down to the abyss by its insufferable gimmicks. It's INFESTED with forced walks every 10 seconds and unskippable cutscenes, which completely kills replayability. And when you think it can't get any worse, the endless instant deaths put the final nail in the coffin. Why even bother giving us healing items if one single mistake sends you back to the beginning to suffer through the same boring forced walks and unskippable cutscenes all over again? In short, perfect art direction, everything else is absolute trash. An absolutely beautiful looking game destroyed by terrible design choices. Throughout my playthroughs, it felt like the game actively tried to punish the player for trying to enjoy it
Screenshake is too much for me. Also there is bad screentearing even though I have vsync on and the performance is very questionable for this rather old game. Add to that the fact that the steamversion is not the final release of this game and that other storefronts offer more content and you get a pretty bad PC product here on steam. Sucks but what can you do. Time to replay Resi4 and Dead Space again
I went into it expecting a normal horror game and instead got chased by the most insane creatures imaginable while surviving on 3 bullets and pure luck 💀 the ammo management in this game is actually stressful but in a satisfying way because every fight feels important. The atmosphere is REALLY good though. The whole game feels like some weird fever dream where you never fully know what’s happening but you’re still completely locked in. I also loved the story honestly. Every time Clair de Lune started playing when entering the mirror room, I instantly relaxed a little because I finally had time to chill, upgrade my stuff, and save the game before going back into chaos again. and the mysterious nurse made the whole place feel even more interesting. The enemy designs are honestly one of the best parts too. Some of them are disgusting, some terrifying, and some just straight up look insane in the coolest way possible.
Really good game until Chapter 10. Legitimately one of the worst boss battles in history.
