STAR WARS™: Squadrons

Refuses to launch. Just wanted to do the campaign again. RTX4090. Do not recommend. Even on sale.

It was great when it first came out, full of potential. Now it crashes on start. WASTED WASTED WASTED potential. Shame on the devs. Put as much thought into it as they did the sequels. MONEY GRAB MONEY GRAB. Should be sued for scam. I have fond memories of it when it came out. Great visuals, fun gameplay, and had so much potential. There seems to be a pattern with Star Wars games turning into absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Very sad. The force is not with the devs, but our money is instead.

I thought this was a strong game with good execution, and I'm not sure why the abandoned it so easily, it's quite unkind.

BUYER BEWARE! This is basically abandonware at this point.. Check the forums and see how many people can't even get this game to launch anymore. Do not even waste a single penny on this crime in progress.

No game better evokes the feeling of flying around a Star War, which is what makes its technical state so frustrating. Revisiting Squadrons first meant changing CPU settings in the Task Manager (a step I will have to repeat each time I play), then a further ten minutes troubleshooting the display resolution, only to stagger periodically once I'm actually in the game. I have made older games run far better with less work. Again, the tragedy is that behind this poor technical state is fantastic little game, only the lack of long-term support has placed a series of frustrating barriers between me and it. EDIT: I initially noted an issue I was having with my HOTAS that I wasn't sure if it was my set up or Squadrons, I've since identified that as a Windows setting & removed the complaint from my review. The game has enough technical issues without me misattributing more!

Game does not start on my new PC. Unbelievable to see something like that in 2026. Found a way to make it run, as a combination of tips from the community: 1. Go to task manager, details tab 2. Find steam.exe 3. Right click it there, select Set Affinity 4. Uncheck "All Processors" and check only processors 0 to 7 (for me that was the magic number) However going with less processors will cause the ingame cutscenes to tear, pathetic. Only reason I am not refunding is because I got it on sale for 3 Euros.

DO NOT BUY!!! THIS GAME IS A SCAM!!! The game does not launch on newer systems regardless of what the community suggests to mitigate this issue. I can't believe so many people are having the same issue and Steam is ignoring all of it! You are wasting your money!!! Support is also useless and do not give refunds for this fraud of a game! AVOID at all cost!

Would love to be able to say, quite literally, anything about this game, however, I have yet to be able to play a single second of it. Three different computer rigs I have tried, and after fighting with the game to get it to launch, it now launches to a grey screen, and does not move past that. Absolutely shameful work. How this has been allowed to continue to be sold in any capacity is simply beyond me. Avoid, because this isn't a game. It's a 30 Gb brick that sits on your hard drive.

No lo vale ni en oferta XD, lo quería jugar solo por que es juego de Star Wars y la idea de combates estelares me gustaba, pero es que literalmente es infumable este juego, apenas llevo 5 misiones, no son tal largas lo bueno pero todas son lo mismo, destruir un crucero estelar, destructores y otras mamadas, pero todas las misiones es lo mismo y se vuelve fastidioso y repetitivo.
