STAR WARS™: Squadrons

EA broke the launcher of this game and it won't even run any more (literally won't start). I wish there was a policy for a right of refund for when companies make their games unplayable like this.

I can't start the game! It crashes from the beginning. I din't expect this from an EA studio. Aweful. Ultra 265k processor, RTX5070, 32 GB memory.

Game crashes on start, did all I could find on the internet, reinstalled game 5 times, did all the fixes, still does'nt work. Internet says easy anti cheat (EAC) is the culprit. But I can't bypass it to start the game, and I can't return the game. Wasted money, don't buy!

This game will always make me sad. It was a truly fun game with incredible potential, but for some reason it was never treated or developed in the way the game truly deserved to be. It will always be a colossal let down

spaceship goes whoooooooooooooooooooooooosh and pewpewpewpewpewpewpewpewpew (this game - multiplayer - is dead. But its such a nice spaceship simulator and the story is nice to play too....just short, wait for a 2-4€ sale (its like every month on sale) and buy it for the...like 6-8hours story) Have many hours on this game at the ea app and it was a nice time, but R.I.P to this Multiplayer.

How do you take a successful model from 3 decades ago and make it suck. Give it to EA of course. Game right away tries to be like X-Wing/Tie FIghter, but when it came to the actual flying it felt like driving a boat that rotates. Was so bored and felt empty. Rather watch someone else play on YT if there was any sign of a plot or story worth imparting into my memory, but that is still up for debate.

Alright. This is one of the harder reviews I've had to write. Star Wars: Squadrons is a tale of tragedy. What do we have? An absolutely nuanced and wonderful Star Wars cockpit battle simulator in the vein of X-Wing or Tie Fighter or X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter (my favourite) from the 90s. The space combat is just marvelous. I've played quite a few games in the last couple of years but I have to say, for sheer unabashed joy and fun, this game gave it to me more than any other. I absolutely adored it. The story is not amazing but engaging enough for me to want to see it to the end. Whoever put this game together, I hope they know that they have made an absolute classic video game; something special. And then... The other stuff. This game has been left to wither on the vine as far as its potential. Yes, they added the B-Wing and another ship. We should have gotten a mission editor as well as more huge space battles like XWvsTF. When thinking about how much fun I had with this game, and how much more fun all of us could have had if the developer wished it... Well, there's the tragedy. If you're looking for a great multiplayer experience, you will most likely be frustrated. It's just not there anymore. If you enjoy classic Star Wars and flight sim combat games, Squadrons is the best. Short and sweet. Please MOTIVE. Please EA. You had something special here. There was so much more that could have been made of this game. Who knows, maybe somewhere up the road they might unshackle it and let the fans do something with it. I don't think that's very likely though. In sum. I feel a lot of things when I play this game. Both joy and resignation in equal measure. It's an experience you very well might find yourself having as well.

Having troubles with the VR mode. The game will not go into VR mode, it says to press and hold **-** but it takes me back to the menu, no clear instructions on how to fix it online, I tried some fixes but none worked, I bought the game only to play on VR and it doesn't work.
