This is a difficult game to recommend in 2026. Since Battlefront II is by far and away the more popular pick for most people these days (especially considering the recent release of the fan-made KYBER update), it can take a long time to find online matches. If you're even able to find one at all... There are offline missions though, and to their credit: they're... fine, I guess. The survival missions are honestly the only thing this game has over its sequel. To be frank, Battlefront II is just a more fun game all around. So unless you have some nostalgia for this title (like in my case), or are interested enough in playing the survival mode it offers (it's not worth buying the game just for that, imho), I would advise you to save your money.
Unlike the classic 2005 Battlefront II, there's no Campaign, and no Galactic Conquest. So, the single player experience is limited, and the multiplayer has mostly been superseded by its 2017 sequel. I can't recommend buying this game.
Looks awesome for an 11 year old game, holds up to this day and runs very well.
This game is absolutely a disapointment. Not like the graphics or maps or anything about the game it didn't let me play co-op AT ALL. i played 2 matches with my friend which was EXTREMELY fun but suddenly i got a weird glitch where it didn't even let me play with him at all. i tried 30 methods to fix it and it still doesn't work. If someone can message me and tell me how to fix this ill be extremely thankful. I really didn't expect it to randomly stop working all of a sudden. If your gonna buy this game and play with your friends i don't recommend at all. The error was "This session is no longer available" And we both have the same DNS.
Someone else hooked their EA account up to my Steam account. I can only disconnect it by accessing the thief's account, and neither EA nor Steam seem able to do anything about it. They wouldn't even refund the game since it's unplayable due to the account issues they won't fix. Maybe the game is awesome, but I'll never know since EA is such an abject failure at account management.
I feel sorry for those who never played this game at its peak. This game was the first shooter I ever played. I played it on the Xbox One and formed countless fond memories that I hold dear to my heart. The soundtrack for this game is the best soundtrack in any game I have ever played. The beauty and sense of awe present in this game's music gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it. While some parts of the soundtrack may sound odd on their own, they fulfill their purpose excellently when playing the game and heighten the immersion astronomically. This game was an unforgettable experience, and I would give the world in order to go back in time and play this game at its peak again.
A really great game I usually play with my friend on his Xbox, now I can play it on computer!
The game was fun until it stopped working for no real look at Nutty's review for more context https://steamcommunity.com/id/nuttyofficial6/recommended/1237980/
Perfect. This game deserves more players. Absolutely nailed it EA.
terrible balancing, need to be in discord to even get a good lobby, hero system sucks. also some power ups just absolutely suck. not worth getting at full price so if you do plan on getting this game wait for a sale
