Played this back in the day because i was a big drakengard fan. put it down after 2 hours because i thought it was boring. I sure was stupid, this is one of the best games ever. one of those experiences that really only could be a video game. a genuine masterwork
Sigue siendo recomendable jugarlo.

Masterpiece 🙌. Man everything about this game is masterful, so I'm gonna list everything to stay structured lol. <--------------------------- Story: ---------------------------> What an incredible journey from start to end. I won't be spoiling anything here so I'll keep this short but I think the pacing was great, the themes were strong, characters were memorable, and this will definitely stay with me for a while. I must say there is this twist at some point in the story that changes absolutely everything about the game and its world which I loved. Lastly I would like to mention the infamous........replay the game multiple times to get 4 other endings. I actually had a LOT of fun replaying to get these endings because not only is gameplay fun, but you only have to play halfway through the story which is awesome. Even the few side missions I needed to do to secure all 33 weapons was incredibly worth my time to be able to play and experience the mind-blowing ending E, even if some of these side missions were a bit annoying to either grind or travel for. <--------------------------- Music: ---------------------------> 100% the greatest soundtrack I've ever heard in a video game. Almost, if not every track is memorable, catchy, and really sets the tone during story moments or gameplay. I don't even know how to describe the type of music, they got some sort of dreamlike quality, it's crazy. <--------------------------- Characters: ---------------------------> Everybody here is very memorable, plays their part in the story extremely well, and have such iconic designs. Grimoire Weiss is the goat, Kaine, Emil, Yonah, FYRA, Popola, Devola, Red Bag Man (lol), Shadowlord, Tyrann, hell even the Postman and Louise. There are even parts where you are reading a whole ass novel for an hour or two about a tragic character that makes you understand them better and care about them so much more. <--------------------------- Visuals: ---------------------------> Unbelievable environments, colors, and ideas. The Facade, Aerie, Seafront, Forest of Myth, Junk Heap, Lost Shrine, especially Emil's Mansion. All very memorable by how they play in the story, their unique structures and even the way how gameplay is sometimes framed in different camera angles like in the Junk Heap or combat limitations like in Facade's dungeon. The effects are also incredible whether it be from magic or those insane effects in ending E. <--------------------------- Gameplay: ---------------------------> I honestly love how fundamentally simple combat is. Simply mash or hold X or Y (on controller) to attack, alongside rolling or blocking. But what truly kept me addicted to the combat was the floating book, man!!! Grimoire Weiss turns you into a whole ass mage with a varied set of magic attacks it is awesome. My favorite attacks were the Dark Blast and Lance, but sometimes I swapped to the Gluttony and Whirlwind in situations. And even later on, two-handed swords and spears are introduced....AND THESE ADD EVEN MORE VARIETY. Two-handed swords are very situational for like heavily armored enemies....but the spears????? BEST WEAPONS IN THE GAME. The types of fast combos you can do with these spears feel like transcendent and it basically turned into my main sword type for any encounter lol. I don't have much to say about the enemies since they appear quite formulaic as dark monsters, but I do think they are awesome after knowing that twist. BUT I do want to talk about the boss fights, CAUSE THESE ARE SO COOL. Every boss has such a fun design that either takes advantage of the idea of the shades or just looks cool to look cool. So even if most of their attack patterns are quite simple and they go down pretty quickly, they look cool asf to live rent free in my memories as fun boss fights. <------------------------------------------------- anyways -------------------------------------------------> BUT YEAH 10/10 new hyperfixation acquired. It is quite difficult to contain my excitement for when I can dive into Nier Automata next month.😛
Secret fact: Yoko Taro actually hired Vivziepop as a guest writer for Kainé's dialogue!
