The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 5.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Incredibly banal, half-baked, and sterile. There seems to be no ambition or vision behind this game other than aspiring to mediocrity that relies almost entirely on Batman as an IP. Even then, me and my friend found that the world and story offers very little of interest in terms of exciting Batman lore or discovery. Postgame content advertises Starro, but he's locked behind grinding out 30 levels only to reveal that he's window dressing for fighting more goons while he rants and raves instead of being an actual boss fight. This thing fumbles the setting, the protagonists, the antagonists, its core gameplay loop, its combat system, its RPG leveling, even its narrative.
Played this expecting another Arkham game and honestly, that was my first mistake. Once I stopped comparing it, I actually started enjoying it a lot more. Gotham feels dark and alive, the Bat Family interactions are surprisingly good, and every character has their own vibe. I spent most of my time playing Nightwing and Red Hood, and co-op with a friend made the game way more fun than I expected. The game definitely has flaws though. Combat doesn’t feel as smooth as Arkham, traversal can get repetitive, and some missions drag a bit. But despite all that, I still kept coming back to patrol Gotham at night. It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s also nowhere near as bad as people made it sound. If you can grab it on sale and go in with the right expectations, you’ll probably have a good time.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
The Internet Was Wrong About Gotham Knights
I went into this after hearing years of people screaming that Gotham Knights is a soulless cash grab because "Batman is dead" and it's "not Arkham." What a load of absolute nonsense.

This game feels like home the second you step into the Belfry. The four Knights and Alfred actually feel like a family dealing with grief, responsibility, and each other. The writing isn't lazy. The progression isn't confusing. The cinematics look like a high-budget animated movie. The main missions are properly designed, atmospheric, and satisfying. It feels polished. It feels like a real AAA game. It does NOT feel cheap the way Sui*ide Squad: Kill the Justice League did. Yes, the open-world crime patrols get repetitive. I knew that going in. The same way I knew Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla had repetitive gameplay loops. I still kept playing those because the story and characters made me care. That's exactly what happened here. I keep thinking about the unanswered questions when I'm not playing: • Why did Batman really die the way he did? • What was he truly fighting Ra's al Ghul over? • Why didn't Talia use the Lazarus Pit? • What does she actually want? That kind of curiosity is rare. When a game makes me think about it after I close it, I come back. A lot of the hate feels like it was decided before people even finished the prologue. "Batman is dead so this game is automatically bad." Grow up. The Bat-Family has always been interesting. Giving them the spotlight and letting them feel like a real group instead of permanent sidekicks was the right call. The chemistry is there. The emotional core is there. The main story content is clearly where the budget and care went. I'm rotating characters every night patrol because each one genuinely feels different, and I actually want to spend time with all of them. Final Verdict If you need every single open-world activity to be a masterpiece or you'll throw a tantrum, this isn't for you. If you can enjoy: • A solid story • Strong character writing • Excellent cinematics • High-quality main missions ...while accepting that the side content is more of a gameplay loop, then Gotham Knights is absolutely worth your time, especially on sale. Some people just wanted another Arkham game with Batman and got angry when they didn't get exactly that. That's on them, not the game.
Not a bad game. It's definitely not Arkham. It has no freeflow/counter combat system. The combat system is nice, however. The timed combo mechanic is a little hard to get down right away, so likely missed by a lot of players to begin with. The combat looks, and feels a lot better if you can learn to do this, but I still can only hit the first 3 of the 4 hits (basic combo/Batgirl) so the majority of players likely won't have even experienced this side of the gameplay (I would advise checking out some Youtube videos to see what the combat can look like) the fact they never really advertised what the characters could do pre-launch, means the games combat certainly was made out to be way worse than it is. I can't stress enough how much better the combat is than I was made out to believe it was going to be. The Vehicles are too slow, but there's a mod for it. There's also a mod to speed up the traversal, too. Speaking of Traversal, you need to unlock this for each character, but it's easily done in maybe 2 or 3 nights (every time you leave the Bellfry, you start a new instance, and based on how much you did the previous night, you will get access to crimes, etc. This is also where you will pick up your main missions). So your glide for Batgirl is locked behind stopping 4 or 5 major crimes (has to be a proper crime with a red square, or similar. The lone, white triangles do not count, but I think they can still help towards making the next night better) and defeating around 4 or 5 minibosses, too (it's slightly different for each character) It's honestly way better than I thought it was going to be. If you're a fan of the Batman Family, then this will likely help carry you, too. The story, etc is decent so far. It's definitely keeping me playing through the jank, like the slow vehicles, and not having basic traversal on each character to start with. TBF I think some of the Arkham games locked off essential pieces of traversal kit to start with, I'm just spoiled by the new Lego Batman (this game legit has the most complete package when starting out. best batman game of all time. Just play New Lego Batman, and get this if you still have the itch afterwards to play something similar). Also worth noting I bought this game with a heavy discount.
Gotham needs a new hero. But maybe not this one.
6/10
Gotham looks absolutely stunning. Graphics are a solid 9 out of 10 — incredible detail, the city feels alive and breathing. Just roaming the night streets is a joy in itself. But sadly, that's about all it has going for it. The story is a whole new level of absurd. Poor Batman — how much more can they put him through? It feels like the writers are competing to come up with the most ridiculous way to mess with the character... And by the way, Bruce doesn't even feel like himself here. The technical side also disappoints: the first three chapters were plagued by frequent crashes for reasons I still don't understand. The gameplay is nothing special, even though you get four characters with different abilities to choose from. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but that's my take — it's just meh. Also, those white shields in the "Assault" mode? Completely unbreakable. They're supposed to go down with electric damage, but the game apparently decided otherwise. Overall — beautiful to look at, but questionable in terms of storytelling. Batman fans should only buy this if they're willing to completely ignore the plot.
I don't get the criticism with this game, I didn't expect an Arkham sequel and it doesn't try to be one, but what it does, it does extremely well imho. Gotham is beautiful, alive, and full of details, combat is kind of simple but fun, missions have enough variety not to be boring, technically it's flawless, runs smooth as butter on my mid-range PC and I didn't even feel the need to bother tweaking settings. Played solo with Batgirl, maybe it's because it's been a while since I last played something similar, but I'm having a blast traversing the city, fighting around, clearing missions, or just sightseeing.
It feels like developers had little time to finish the game. Whole game feels unfinished with clunky animations. Combat was dry, story nothing special. I just finished it for the love of franchise, but I am never gonna play it again because gameplay was so repetitive 5/10.
This game is an example of wasted potential. The story is mid, because there's only so many reasons Batman could die. They also took the abilities of Batman from the Arkham games and spread them out across 4 characters. Which makes each character feel a bit sloppy and the progression to be very short and abrupt. The city also feels empty, which really sucks for Gotham Knights because it has to compare with Spider-Man. The empty city makes a bit more sense when you consider that it is potentially rendering 2 characters in the main story or 4 players in the raid modes. The game is very basic and not as fun or dynamic as the Arkham Batman games. It's a lot of go to this location and mash attack. Not enough detective work or puzzles. Combat is the same as Assassin's creed. Update: Something I forgot to mention is the gear system. It has a typical looter shooter RPG grind. You get gear and slowly level it up with different elemental effects. This entire game reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima's 4 player online mode, imagine that this game is almost just that with a city for a hub instead of a menu. TLDR: If you are solo playing get a spider man game, if you have a friend who wants to play a 3-D beat em up game then grab this on sale for $10 at most.
Decent brawler set in an amazing city. It's not an arkham game, doesn't play like one at all. Also the bat bike goes like 5kph faster than the rest of the traffic, so slow
Buyying this game because i like red hood and DCuniverse. But damn this game half baked bro
