I can't believe I bought this. what a waste. Millennia is just a lesser version of the civilization games. The graphics were blockish compared to the pictures on the page.
Good game, has promise, I like the combined arms and the Ages part before Civ 7 copied that aspect. It sucks that it's now dead though. Also, too many barbarians.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Final patch dropped for the game, devs basically abandoning it, don't bother at this point
Good game with innovative mechanics. Always felt a little unpolished since release. Biggest criticism is there are about 14 "mana" resources that you have the manage throughout the lifecycle of a game. Even though this one didn't get very far (abandoned in Oct 2025) - I hope to see paradox take learned lessons from this one and give another swing at this genre.
Просранный потенциал.
Having played all the other major civ and civ-clone games, I find Millennia to be a superior entry into the genre. There's no ridiculous eternal leader or avatar!! So many cultural and research focuses possible,
Millennia is as innovative as a game based on the CIV-Formula can possibly be. The gameplay loop is excellent and the replayability high. Hundres of hours of fun await - even if the game has some rough edges, especially regarding the visual presentation of diplomatic interaction and fighting.
It's actually a good game. There are some VERY innovative mechanics, like for example alternative eras (really, such a simple concept that no other 4X implemented for some reason?), the various kinds of eXP, and the resource system. From the latest 4X games that I played, it's one that does everything in a solid way and doesn't feel overly lacking in any department. Building is solid. Governments are solid. Combat is solid. I was genuinely surprised, as I expected a bad game, based on Steam and Discord reviews. Not a perfect masterpiece though (except alternative ages), but and enjoyable experience so far.
Ein zweiter Teil mit mehr Finanzkraft könnte Civ den Rang ablaufen. Super innovative Zivilisationsentwicklung.
