Recommended specs are a lie. Game runs horribly with recommended specs, even at low settings. Had to refund unfortunately.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Spectacular Swinging, Uneven Landing
The swinging and traversal? Spectacular. The expanded New York City? Amazing. The gameplay and combat? Friendly. The story? The real final boss. I absolutely loved Marvel's Spiderman and Miles Morales, so it's almost ironic that Spiderman 2 ended up being such a disappointment for me. I was so excited to play it that I bought it at only a 22% discount, and honestly, I wish I'd waited for a bigger sale. One thing Insomniac absolutely nailed was traversal. The Web Wings are fantastic and completely change how you move around the city. Combined with the expanded map including Brooklyn and Queens getting from one side of New York to the other is genuinely fun. Traversal never became a chore, and I often found myself swinging around simply because it felt so good. It's just a shame that the Statue of Liberty is fully visible yet remains inaccessible despite all the new traversal mechanics. With how fluid the Web Wings and water traversal feel, I genuinely expected to be able to visit it. Combat is another area where Spiderman 2 improves over its predecessors. Enemy AI is noticeably smarter, parries add another layer to encounters, and fights stay engaging throughout the game. I actually had to lower the difficulty because enemies became incredibly spongey on the higher settings, but I still enjoyed the challenge far more than I expected. The suit selection is also great, although I think the new Suit Styles feature is a little overblown. The opening Sandman sequence is genuinely incredible. I loved it so much that I replayed the opening three or four times just to experience it again. Unfortunately, after that incredible start, the game never quite reaches those same highs again. Kraven is an interesting villain, but I never felt like the game explored him deeply enough. Venom has some fantastic moments as well, but the overall story never landed for me the way Spiderman or Miles Morales did. What I loved about the previous games was how grounded they felt. Peter wasn't just saving New York, he was struggling to balance his personal life, dealing with impossible choices, and facing villains he shared genuine history with. Every major confrontation carried emotional weight because you understood what both sides had lost. The Spiderman I know and love has always been a grounded hero. He's optimistic despite constantly getting beaten down by life. He loses more than he wins, yet he always finds a reason to keep moving forward. His relationships with villains are rarely black and white as they're built on history, regret, respect, and sometimes even friendship. Marvel's Spiderman 1 captured that beautifully. Spiderman 2, on the other hand, often felt more focused on spectacle than those personal relationships. It felt like the game was chasing the emotional highs of Marvel's Spiderman 1 instead of naturally building toward its own. That's why so many of its emotional moments fell flat for me. There are moments that absolutely work. Peter and Harry's relationship is easily one of the strongest parts of the game, especially during the high school mission. Many memorable characters from the previous games also return, and it was genuinely nice helping them again through their side missions while seeing some of their stories come to a close. But the overall pacing felt strange, the emotional moments rarely landed, and by the time the credits rolled, I never got that same feeling of accomplishment that Spiderman and Miles Morales gave me. I still had an amazing time swinging through New York and fighting crime, but unlike Spiderman and Miles Morales, this isn't a story I'll be thinking about years from now. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Spider-Man 2, but I'd recommend waiting for a bigger discount.

Performance
Contrary to the common opinion that Spiderman 2 performs poorly on PC, I actually had a fairly smooth experience after a few tweaks. The single biggest improvement was updating Direct Storage to version 1.3. This alone fixed around 90% of the stutters I experienced. (Version 1.4 Beta was noticeably stutterier on my system.) The Nexus Mods mod "Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Ultimate Performance Fix" simply updates the required Direct Storage DLLs, making this an easy change to apply. Since the game is also quite CPU-heavy, adding -high to the Steam launch options helped improve overall smoothness. If you're still experiencing heavy stuttering, try disabling Windows Fullscreen Optimizations and running the game as Administrator. Frame Generation also made a noticeable difference in frame pacing for my system. This is what I used for playing at 1440p :

60 FPS — DLSS Performance, Frame Generation Off, RTSS Async Mode
90 FPS — DLSS Balanced, Frame Generation On, RTSS Front Edge Async Mode
For textures, I'd recommend:

Medium Textures — Smoothest overall experience.
High Textures — Noticeably better visuals, especially while web swinging or exploring detailed indoor environments, but 8 GB of VRAM starts to struggle and introduces occasional stutters.
A Insomniac conseguiu superar minhas expectativas. É uma sequência que expande a fórmula dos anteriores sem perder a essência, entregando uma experiência memorável do começo ao fim. Recomendo sem pensar duas vezes.
Rating: ★★★★ - Great Time Played: 23.3 hours Difficulty: Friendly Gameplay: - The Web Wings are a great compliment to the webswinging. Wind tunnels turn traversal into a routing puzzle rather than a straight line between objectives, and the loop of glide-dive-swing is genuinely fun. - Instant character switching between Peter and Miles keeps combat fresh with the two different sets. - Combat is the same excellent Batman Arkham-esk flow from the first two games with more toys. - Stealth sections with supporting characters (MJ again) are still the weakest link. They're shorter than the first game's but they exist purely to pace the story down. - Side content is leaner and better curated than most open-world games, though a few activity types are clearly padding. Story\Dialogue: - The Kraven and symbiote arcs are the strongest villain material Insomniac has done. The middle and end acts are the highlights of the entire game. - First third of the games pacing suffers badly from slice-of-life interludes. Walking sections, school visits and relationship focuses kill momentum right when the plot is accelerating, and you can't skip them. Expect to lose 2-3 hours of your playtime to these boring sequences. - Miles carries the emotional core better than Peter this time. His arc resolves cleanly while Peter's ends on a note that feels more like sequel setup than payoff. - Dialogue during traversal is well written and reactive, easily the best writing in the series. Graphics\Music: - New York during the symbiote-arc is one of the best looking open cities in gaming giving the game a 'Prototype' vibe. - Character models and facial animation during cutscenes are film quality. The engine loads the entire city fast enough that fast travel is nearly instant (If you have an SSD). - Score shifts convincingly between heroic orchestral themes and the darker symbiote motifs. The audio design of the black suit sounds muffled, wet and wrong which only enhances the feeling. - On PC the port ran solid but was VRAM hungry at max settings. Before you Play: - Play the first game and Miles Morales first. The story assumes full knowledge of both and several emotional beats land flat without it. - Turn on the traversal assist options early and experiment with swing steering settings. The defaults are conservative and the game feels dramatically better with higher assistance disabled. - Don't hoard skill points. Both characters share a common tree, so spec into parry and traversal upgrades early since they benefit everything. - If the slice-of-life sections drag for you, they're front-loaded. The other two thirds are nearly uninterrupted action.
This is easily the best Spiderman game ever made. The story is the best Insomniac has ever written, and the characters each have an arch that develop them over the course of the story. Every character is developed and by the end of the game they are different. The traversal is 2-3x faster than the first Spiderman and Miles Morales, momentum plays a much larger role in web swinging causing you to traverse much farther and faster when it’s built up. The new powers for Peter bring him up to the level of Miles with powers, and the Spider legs are also a nice addition adding new special moves that can clear out enemies in droves. The new web line lets you take out multiple enemies at once in stealth and is a perfect addition to the game. There are a substantial amount of enemies thrown at you in each fight and this makes the combat even more challenging. Enemies have new attacks that can knock you out of the air, forcing you to adapt. The boss battles are revamped and boss battles require much more attention. Bosses also have health bars now which makes them feel more traditional. The new parry mechanic forces you to block attacks that you cannot dodge, adding a layer of depth to them that will challenge you more. Some attacks can only be dodged, while others can only be parried. The boss fights are also much grander in scale while also more of them are thrown at you than in the previous 2 titles. The side mission in SM2 are also much better than the previous 2 games (Howard the pigeon collector mission stands out at one of the best in the game and it is a side mission). Certain crime activities feel stale, such as stopping cars and fighting arsonists, but only a limited amount of these need to be done to 100% the game. More variety in this area would be nice, but this is not that important in the grand scheme of what the game offers. Overall, this game is the first true “next generation” game all around with graphics, performance, fast travel, and super fast traversal.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 So Spider-Man 2 had a strong start of the game with the Sandman fight but fell short after the Kraven arc of the story. The Kraven arc was well done with him hunting down all of the Spider-Man villains and killing them, wish it wasn't off screen most of the time but still cool non the less. Having Harry as the 'bad' guy and having him turn into Venom was not a bad choice for the story. Seeing Yuri turn into Wraith was a fun change for her story after the first Spider-Man game. The story with the Flame was an interesting choice on how they will bring Carnage in the game, if they will. The Chameleon story was fun trying to see who Kraven was searching for but the minigames for it was really repetitive and boring. Misterio was actually really fun to fight and see how his powers work in this Spider-Verse. The quest with Felicia was fun having Miles going through portals so he can help her. The story with the Lizard was really well done, I really like how they made Conners a real monster in the game and that you have to save him so Kraven won't kill him. Now the Venom part. I thin they did a really good job on portraying Venom in the game except the fire part but that did make him cooler. Venom was on beast time in this Spider-Man story but that won't change the fact that his story was short and rushed. I just wish that his part was a couple more hours longer than Kraven's or as big as his. When I played as Venom for the first time it reminded me of the Ultimate Spider-Man game, his gameplay is really fun and brutal. Still it would have been better if you could play as his at least in new game plus. I know that his story part was short because Tony Todd the Venom voice had a lot more lines recorded for the game and that if you manage to glitch with Venom in the open world area you can destroy wall that you can't in the rest of the game. Hope there will be a standalone game with Venom so we can see the full potential that Tony Todd showed us that he had (R.I.P Tony Todd he was a good actor and voice actor). The fight between the 2 Spider-Man was a really good call on how to save Pete and it was a really cool idea. I think the game should have been doubled in hours than the first one if we play as 2 Spider-Man. I think they did a good job on portraying Peter with the symbiote suit and making him a bully. Seeing him let the anger out on the enemies was fun. The gameplay with the suit is really fun but I feel like something was missing but they did add more with his metal arms. Miles with the new powers was fun and it did add a lot more than his standalone game. The swinging is a lot better in this one than the other 2 games, is faster and more fun. The costumes they chose for the game are not bad but there are some really bad suits that made me think why are they in the game. I did like the color options for them. Wish they added all of the ones form the 2 other games, they did add some so why not all and the new ones. But I did have fun with the photo mode. Overall I think was game good not as much as the first one but still good. Waiting on the 3rd one and maybe a Venom game.
Vamos Curar o mundo! jogão, tem 2 Spiders, Venom, e muita pancadaria... 10/10
Obviously the traversal is what you're here for. Mute the dialogue skip the cutscenes with characters yapping and the game jumps to a 4/10. An interesting look back to when studios could lie to your face about divisive pandering. Throw some mods in there too to make it tolerable.
Good game but super woke. Try it and see for yourself.
