FlipWitch - Forbidden Sex Hex

Overall, I really enjoy this game. It's a cute little metroidvania, and while the gameplay is nothing innovative, it's executed very well, and makes the game quite worth playing, regardless of the porn. The art is great and things are drawn well. My main complaint is no boy-on-boy love so far. For a game all about genderbending, I expected there to be a bit more variety in the relationships shown. There's a few things that aren't quite to my taste, like I'm not a fan of the blue character art in a lot of scenes and I wish the sex scenes upon death felt less like something your character was enjoying. However, that's just personal preference. Overall, a really great game. If you're looking for a pornographic platformer, I highly recommend. There's also a few small quality of life things I wish were slightly better, like a confirm option when hitting main menu in the pause menu and more features with the minimap, but those are pretty small issues.

An excellent metroidvania... with sex. The writing is funny and charming, while the scenes are well done. I honestly just like the gameplay, though and would play this even without the lewd stuff.

I wanted to love this game because of the gorgeous pixel art and fantastic music but the gameplay was not enjoyable. Platforming is floaty. You need to stop and turn your character before you can dodge in that direction, which is super frustrating. Your melee attacks slide you forward in a game where enemy hitboxes hurt you and your melee range is short. There's barely a story which I get it, it's an H game but it would have been nice to have a little more there. The H scenes are boring and the women suffer from same body syndrome. There's a focus on heterosexual scenes in a game where you genderbend, which is disappointing. I feel like there is a lot of potential here and look forward to seeing how things improve in their next game.

Me mató la curiosidad cuando lo vi en oferta. La premisa es sencilla: eres una bruja... bueno, una bruja y un brujo al mismo tiempo, supongo, y tu objetivo es derrotar a la Bruja del Caos. En el camino repartirás golpes a un ejército de enemigos que, siendo honestos, son el mismo enemigo con diferente color y más ganas de hacerte daño. Hay dinero, máquinas de gacha, misiones secundarias y un montón de NPC a los que "ayudas"... aunque muchas veces parece que les estás haciendo el favor más caro de sus vidas. Ahora, las quejas. La progresión es lentísima al principio. Entiendo que es un metroidvania y que parte de la gracia es desbloquear habilidades para acceder a nuevas zonas, pero este juego se esfuerza demasiado en mandarte de un extremo del mapa al otro. Y para colmo, hay habilidades de movilidad que unas veces son permanentes y otras tienes que equiparlas. Decídanse! Luego están los cristales de teletransporte. El mapa es gigantesco y, si me van a convertir en recadera oficial, agradecería un poco más de calidad de vida. Porque claro, vuelves a una zona donde jurabas que ya no había nada... sorpresa, olvidaste una botella de vino escondida. Y aun con todo eso... El juego es brutal. Tiene un combate rapidísimo, una exploración muy divertida y una cantidad de contenido que sorprende muchísimo. Llega un punto en el que dejas de pensar "estoy jugando un metroidvania" y simplemente estás disfrutando un muy buen juego.

Flipwitch is an adult metroidvania game that has fun gameplay but isn't actually very good in terms of being an adult game. The adult content has to be the weakest part of this game. Many of the CG's lack any real buildup and so feel less erotic than they should be. The exaggerated sounds don't make it particularly interesting either. I think the game should have played into the different outfits and incorporated them into the erotic scenes. Besides that, having some sort of icon or label to indicate what outfit a character might want to unlock a lewd scene would be a good quality of life feature for such a game. I think the character and enemy sprites are the best part of the erotic content rather than the full animated scenes. They're cute, exaggerated and well detailed. In terms of the gameplay, it's a metroidvania game that plays pretty well. I wouldn't say that this is the most polished experience for a game of this genre, but the gameplay is pretty okay. My biggest complaints is that certain things like chests should really be labeled on the map, sometimes enemy placement is made in such a way that you will get hit panning between screens and I wish there was an animation indicator to let you know when you can use your dash ability. The money grinding aspect is pretty annoying during the early and mid game and money becomes trivial by the late game. However the actual movement, exploration and combat all feel pretty good. There's a lot of abilities and items to unlock so it is possible to fit the gameplay to your needs. I don't have a lot to say about the story. It exists and there is practically no depth to it. The sound and music design is decent. The game has a very large variety of songs and styles. It really likes to experiment around with the songs. Nothing that I would say is deeply memorable but nothing particularly bad either. I like the enemy sound design. It's good stuff. Overall I think I can recommend this game, but keep an open mind that the erotic part of the game is actually the weakest aspect. Play it if you like the graphics and want to play a video game more than having the expectation of something you can be enjoying in the privacy of your room.
