It's not the greatest game in the world, but I enjoyed it for what it was. The combat was pretty fun and being able to make your own build was awesome, but I feel like it could have been a lot deeper with only a few small tweaks. You can definitely tell this was an indie game from right when they started really taking off, but it is one that has certainly stood the test of time. The art is really nice, albeit a tad bit awkward in some places. The music is amazing and doesn't wear out its welcome at all, those vocal tracks in particular have been living in my library for many years before even touching this game.
its great. music is awesome. Game play is prefect.
Неплохая игра
save your cash, good song. annoying game. I need of so many quality of life improvements. I'm sure the developers have moved on and so should you
Juegazo la historia estuvo muy buena y los graficos, no estuvo complejo el platinarlo solo los desafios pero luego de eso esta bien en dificultad muy agradable
I enjoyed playing it, but I cannot fully recommend it to others. Here's why: The art style is charming. The voice-acting prominently features Logan Cunningham as ever-present narrator; there's a very good reason why Supergiant Games kept working with him. The mechanics are easy enough and offer a modicum of variation for different play styles. That's it with the positives. Now for the negatives: - Storytelling: the story fully unfolds as narration, sometimes with still images, sometimes during the heat of battle when you cannot focus on the voice. - Characters: the three NPCs literally never move. It wouldn't have been much work to give them some animation for a cut-scene, but this way they have the depth and appeal of cardboard cutouts. - World-building: you jump into different stages always looking for the McGuffin and getting out again. The overarching scenario is similar to the one in Supergiant's next game Transistor, but Transistor's world felt like an actual world; Bastion only has differently themed stages. - Soundtrack: the music is good, but doesn't always fit the mood and sometimes it just stops for no apparent reason. Neither of those are such a huge dent that you wouldn't be able to enjoy the game. I sure did, and as a completionist I even got a decent number of hours out of it. SGG already found their winning formula with their first game, but they still needed to refine it. Bastion just lacks in many areas you've come to love from their later works.
Quaint little game - 5-6 hrs to complete feels like a real achievement in 2026's live-service obsession. The gameplay is great, the narrative enticing and the storytelling is fantastically unique and the main reason i kept playing. I love the storytelling from the perspective of The Watcher (from marvel's what-if). I think the game is locked to 60fps, which is ashame, but it is a 2011 game and my typical 120-200 fps meant it was 60fps with very low 1% lows, so a great game. My ONLY critique - there's a lot of screen shake at times. But you get used to it. I'm not going to play game-plus, i was here for the story, completion and experience.
