The gameplay's fun, Fidget is adorable, and her dynamic with Dust makes sure there's never a dull moment. The art is good too and so are the sound effects. The only downside is that I can't play much of the game due to the almost continuous flashing white light, especially during the thunderstorms. It'd be great if the camera shaking can be turned off too. I suffer from chronic migraines, so my eyes are a bit more sensitive to flashes of light and movement like the camera shaking. It'd be great if there's an option in the settings where you can turn those off.
The game looks amazing and Fidget is very cute. The rest is good too, but the art and Fidget is what makes it really stand out. If you like furry characters especially, it's worth getting already for the art alone.
A fun game that shouldn't present too much challenge for the average player. I ran through the game on normal settings and found it to be a push over. If you upgrade your gear you really become a powerhouse. It would be have fantastic to have new game plus to keep some progress and do it on a much harder setting. As is, one play through was enough. The story is good enough, and you will have to so some backtracking to mop up things you've missed. There are some nice story beats along the way, which I won't ruin. The controls can feel a bit slippery at times, which was mildly annoying, but nothing game breaking. One thing I really wished was if the game had more choice and those choices leading to different ways the main character would develop and influence how the game ended. I feel this was a huge missed opportunity here. Something along the lines of what Infernax had done.
This game has been in my backlog for years. I will come back to it every once in awhile to play it but then I'd drift away. Finally sat down to beat it this year, and I'm glad I did. Its obvious how much love was put into this game, and I really did have a good time with it. I've already bought it for my kid's Switch as well. I would very much recommend this

Absolutely beautiful and stunning game, both visually and story wise. The first metroidvania that made me really interested in the genre! Hoping for a sequel one day...some day.
one of my favorite games of all time
Dust is an interesting game, story and art style wise. Everything is hand drawn and the setting and plotline are a little odd, bit goofy at times, but it is fun to play. The gameplay is a mix of basic hack and slash with platforming. It's not too hard unless you play on Tough or Hardcore. Both of those will still start out easy, but there are a few special enemy types that can one-shot you. However, once you hit certain zones like the graveyard everything in the game from that point on will one-shot you. Unless you want to grind out levels. I just powered through finishing the game around the low 30s. But it can be a bit draining/frustrating to do it that way. It's not a long game but fun enough to hold your attention. If you like 4th wall breaking or meta humor you'll enjoy a lot of the dialogue. If it looks interesting then get it on sale at least.
Possibly my favorite game of all time. I played it during my teenage years and was amazed by how well designed, written and contructed the game is. 10/10 Came back 13 years later to try 100% it
It's nice, only problem is that it gets a lil repetitive and the effects can be too much, like sometimes I genuinely could not see anything under Fidget's bullets. is cool overall
