no option to turn off flashing lights. a lot of them in the intro and first playable screen. i am only mildly sensitive to flashing and literally cannot play this :p
The art, the music, the story, the gameplay... everything of the highest quality The game is a beautiful allegory of the fear of death and terminal illness delivered without a single line of legible or understandable dialogue. Everything is shown with imagery and environmental storytelling making it a perfect game for people who love to explore One of those video games that remind you this is an art form and you can feel how much heart, passion and soul went into its making Some people might dislike the game because of the controls or certain design choices but personally I had no problem getting used to playing with both keyboard-mouse and controller and I feel the design choices make perfect sense so it was no problem for me
I personally really loved Hyper Light Drifter! However I do have some cons along with my pros. First off, there's no text really, just images which I personally really like! The game allows you to come up with your own theories, but if that's something you don't like, this game probably isn't for you. My biggest negative with this game is that the combat can be really tricky and frustrating to figure out at first. Eventually though, I figured it out and wound up feeling super accomplished with myself! Another negative is it can be pretty hard figuring out where you're supposed to go sometimes and I did have to use a guide- but if you enjoy exploring games through and through, you may find that aspect fun! As many say, the soundtrack is very beautiful and comes in at really nice moments that makes you wonder what is going through Drifter's head at that moment- oh, and Drifter! I love the silent main character troupe, so if you dig that, you'll probably love Drifter as I did! The little victory pose he does after a hard fight really adds a charm to his character ^^ The ending truly did get me emotional too, it's not like many I've seen in games, and it leaves me thinking about this game even a few months after my first playthrough. I do recommend this game if you can figure out the map and combat systems lolol!
Absolutely amazing game. I keep coming back to it, trying to beat New Game +. The atmosphere is great, the gameplay is very unique and enjoyable, I really like the way the story is told with no words.
Absolute cinema. highly recommend this game. the gameplay is good and fun, the graphics are nice, everything. i really enjoyed this game and highly recommend anyone play it. its also very easy to play it on-off schedule which is what i did because i dont have much time, and this game fit in perfectly within that tight schedule while being fun to play.
Surreal dreamlike stroll in a dying world that is barely holding itself together. Absolutely gorgeous. Feels less like a game and more like an experience. Has amazing exploration paired with tight combat. Also really replayable, has ng, ng+ and another character you unlock after beating the game
ten years later and this game is a still a masterpiece, im amazed at how little it event takes up my battery and works perfectly fine on my potato laptop i love its story and gameplay and im so glad indie cross introduced me to this
Nice exploration, with plenty of rewards for those who look for it. Combat is satisfying and really well tuned. The art and soundtrack are on point. Bosses can be a bit too easy and the gear you can get by exploring may feel a bit unnecessary, even though they're fun to look for.
This game was amazing. Genuinely made an impact on my philosophy of death. Short yet sweet
Sí, está buenísimo. Difícil, pero buenísimo.
