Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action RPG set in a vibrant fairytale universe filled with floating islands, majestic airships, and colorful magic. Reynardo, an ex-pirate and unintentional hero, suddenly becomes the last line of defense against the mad Emperor and his countless ravens. Can he come up with a plan that won’t blow up in his face, for a change?
In Stories, each choice you make takes Reynardo into a unique narrative. From tongue-in-cheek takes on heroic adventures to dark, Lovecraftian scenes, Stories’ repertoire is as diverse as it is action-packed. But Reynardo’s fateful decisions won’t always come easy: Sometimes retrieving a weapon lost at the beginning of time means sacrificing the life of an old friend. But with so many choices to make and so many potential dire destinies, wouldn't it be great to come back in time, learn from your mistakes, and find the one true path?

pretty fun for the first few ending/time loops, but then the repition of places and choices starts to feel less worth it. i just got the four necessary truths and went for the ending, which was predictable (and reductive of the female character) but okay. i might get the other endings if i feel like hacking and slashing maybe.
Stories: The Path of Destinies from Spearhead Games is an action RPG that distinguishes itself less through raw mechanical complexity and more through the way it treats storytelling as something interactive, cyclical, and deliberately fragmented. You step into the role of Reynardo, a roguish fox hero navigating a war against a tyrannical empire, but what unfolds is not a single tale—it’s a tapestry of possibilities shaped by the player’s decisions. The game frames itself almost like a living storybook, where each choice branches into a new path, and each path reveals only part of a larger truth. Rather than offering a straightforward narrative arc, it invites players to replay, rethink, and gradually assemble the “correct” sequence of events through repeated attempts. This structure is where the game shines the most. Each playthrough is relatively short, often lasting under two hours, which makes the idea of replaying feel intentional rather than tedious—at least initially. The game cleverly builds a sense of mystery by locking the true ending behind knowledge gained across multiple runs. You’re not just replaying to see different outcomes; you’re replaying to understand the world better, to learn which allies can be trusted, and to uncover the hidden logic behind the war’s outcome. The narrator plays a crucial role here, delivering lines with wit, irony, and occasional melancholy, often reacting dynamically to your decisions. This narration adds personality and cohesion, making even repeated segments feel slightly different in tone. On the gameplay side, the experience is grounded in real-time combat that emphasizes fluid movement and straightforward combo mechanics. Reynardo can dodge, counter, and chain attacks together with a satisfying rhythm, and early encounters feel responsive and enjoyable. As you progress, you unlock skills and craft different magical swords, each tied to specific environmental interactions or branching paths. This adds a layer of progression that ties directly into exploration, encouraging you to revisit earlier routes with new tools. However, the combat system, while polished, doesn’t evolve significantly over time. Enemy types remain limited, and the strategies required to defeat them rarely change, which becomes more noticeable as the number of playthroughs increases. Visually, the game leans into a colorful, stylized aesthetic that reinforces its fairy tale atmosphere. The world is composed of floating islands, lush forests, icy landscapes, and ancient ruins, all presented with a painterly quality that feels both vibrant and slightly whimsical. Character designs are equally expressive, fitting the anthropomorphic theme while still conveying distinct personalities. The audio design complements this well, with a soundtrack that shifts between adventurous and reflective tones, and voice work that brings the narrative to life. The narrator, in particular, stands out as a defining element, elevating scenes that might otherwise feel repetitive. Where the game becomes more divisive is in how it handles repetition. The entire experience is built around the expectation that players will replay it multiple times, but not all of those replays feel equally rewarding. While the narrative differences are meaningful, the gameplay segments between story choices can start to feel overly familiar. You will revisit the same locations, fight the same enemies, and perform similar actions, sometimes with only minor variations. The retention of upgrades and knowledge helps streamline subsequent runs, but it doesn’t completely eliminate the sense of déjà vu that sets in after several cycles. Even with these shortcomings, the game succeeds in delivering something genuinely distinct. It’s less about mastering combat or conquering challenges and more about understanding a story from multiple angles, almost like piecing together a puzzle where each attempt reveals a new fragment. Players who enjoy narrative experimentation and are willing to engage with its looping structure will find a lot to appreciate here. Those looking for deep mechanical progression or high gameplay variety, however, may find their interest fading before reaching the full conclusion. In the end, Stories: The Path of Destinies stands as a thoughtful and creative project that prioritizes narrative design in a way few games attempt. It doesn’t always maintain momentum across its many replays, but its ambition, charm, and unique storytelling framework leave a lasting impression. Rating: 8/10
Fun, funny, and clever.
For an old game it's really nice you know. The way the game handle the story is really fun and choices you made really tell what kind of person you are. The story can be hard to understand at first but it will come together. The combat is really fun once you get used to it. It's not the usual hack and slash game where you can spam the attack buttoon, this one you have to strategize your next move for every action. It's really fun, it's like playing a real time strategy but you are doing the actions instead of giving out commands to troops. The characters design and personalities are good and memorable. The graphic is obviously old but it's alright. Overall, it's a fun unique hack and slash game. Pick it up if you want to try something new and experience fresh story every run.
Забавная концепция петли времени, но боёвка скучная.
haha funny fop hit things with fire sword.
Is a decent game but in 30 minutes I found game breaking bugs that forced me to load the save. Like not being able to use the sword and the "X Wrong sword" message gets stuck. Is a DMC game for kids and the voice acting is nice. Not for me tho.
