It's very cool to kill bosses.

Yes, but no TL;DR: *This dev sucks at pc ports, repeatedly. *Nerfs/buffs the games so much that no one knows wtf is going on *Reuses maps, and bosses far too much *Has no creativity when it comes to level design *Makes the worst companions/summons *Loves the grind a lot too much *Has no idea of balance (bosses especially are all over the place) *Needs to get some weapon feedback into combat *Has effective whips *Makes a decent enough game, with far too many flaws. 6.5 out of 10 I guess The companions/followers/npc summons in this game are a joke, low damage, die easy, get in the way, stand around doing nothing etc, these devs need outside assistance. The enemies also respond very differently to them, including completely ignoring them if they are not yet aware of you... to be fair, most enemies appear to be completely blind anyway. The lock on system will get you killed more than anything else in the game. For the most part the game runs without issue with most settings maxed (I do cap at 60fps though), I have all of the stupider camera effects turned off as per usual. Loading times between levels are pathetic, can exceed 1 minute, which may not sound like much, but this game can be grindy, so it gets annoying. I have no loading time issues with any other game on steam. The game has crashed 4, or 5 times in 120 hours, all crashes in the last 30 hours for some reason. Not a big deal. The control layout leaves a lot to be desired, it is very easy to f*ck yourself over by pressing the wrong combo of buttons, I have a bad habit of switching weapons when I don't want to, and there doesn't appear to be a way of having only 1 weapon set... you can have bare knuckle in the 2nd slot if you want, you will die though. A couple of back buttons on controllers should be default by now. A lot of the weapon types are good fun and effective, probably more so than most similar titles. Combat can easily be spammy, but can also be a lot more deliberate if you want it to be, and at times it really needs to be. It's enjoyable, but really lacks compared to a lot of other games in whatever you want to call this genre right now. The majority of combat is easy once you have a half decent build. The majority of bosses are easy, but some are way over the top, the lack of balance is very amateur. Some bosses require you to change your build to suit their elemental weakness, and/or their elemental strength, at least in NG, this forces you to experiment, but is also a time waster/complication. Bosses are often reused, one of the bosses is used 3 times as a boss. Levels are also often reused, sometimes played backwards but with sections closed off, making them smaller half-arsed versions of something you have already played. There are many lesser well known/appreciated devs out there, who put a lot more effort in than this lot. QOL is far from great, and some systems appear to be broken ie: you can save your set ups, but they probably won't work because set pieces are in storage, have been modified etc Worth buying on sale if you like the genre, but there are better options around. Appreciate them having a demo, and it did get them my money. Shame on me if I ever bother with a team ninja game again though.
总结就是一坨,不要被那些好评给骗了,我就是 玩到boss饕餮的时候,我再也忍不住了,直接吐了 这就是一坨,真心不推荐,浪费金钱时间
Wo Long is one of the best action RPGs I've played. The combat system is incredibly satisfying, rewarding precise deflects and aggressive play, while the boss fights are challenging, memorable, and consistently exciting. The level design strongly reminds me of Nioh, with interconnected areas, meaningful exploration, and plenty of secrets to discover. If you enjoyed Nioh, Wo Long feels like a natural evolution with its own unique identity.
Very good combat and soundtrack, abysmal art direction so game looks like ass 90% of the time, it doesn't help that it also runs like ♥♥♥♥ so if your rig isn't very good then your game will look blurry, laggy and ugly all at the same time, mind you my computer can run ghost of tsushima at stable 60 fps on medium graphic and still struggle to run Wolong at a stable 40fps on low and can dip much lower on some maps. But the gameplay is really fun, i finished the game twice on gamepass and still bought it again on steam to play dlc, strongly recommended if you're into parry/deflect heavy game
