Fallen Order feels like a game designed by people who spent years studying how to balance combat systems and almost no time asking whether any of it was actually fun. Every design choice seems engineered to prevent the player from experiencing the fantasy the game is selling. You're a Jedi, armed with one of the most iconic weapons in fiction, yet every encounter is painstakingly tuned so that livestock, vermin, and entry-level Imperial personnel can waste your time. The lightsaber has all the lethality of a glowing wiffle ball bat, while the Force often feels less like a mystical power and more like a cooldown ability from a mediocre MMO. The exploration is equally exhausting: climb a wall, shimmy across a ledge, squeeze through a crack, slide down a slope, repeat for twenty hours. The game mistakes repetition for content and inconvenience for challenge. What's most impressive is that despite having one of the richest settings in science fiction, Fallen Order repeatedly finds ways to make being a Jedi feel mundane. The atmosphere, art direction, and worldbuilding do almost all of the heavy lifting while the gameplay drags behind like a damaged escape pod. It's a gorgeous monument to overdesigned mediocrity: a Star Wars game so afraid of letting the player feel powerful that it accidentally makes them feel bored instead.
JOGÃO!!!
Final Score: 81/100
*spoilers* awesome game, love love star wars, the chills when I saw Vader in endgame wow, Cal is a great character, nice designs on characters and content all around although with mods you can make it much better, combat is super satisfying, I appreciated that nothing was pay-walled everything is unlockable, but then again navigating the maps to find loot boxes can be a pain, apart from minor cons I very much enjoyed the story of Cal Kestis and have high expectations for Jedi survivor and the third game in the makes! Not recommended. Requires the EA app/third-party launcher despite being launched through Steam, which is already annoying. I found a workaround, but that created another problem: my controller relies on Steam Input, so bypassing the launcher also breaks the setup I actually need to play comfortably. By the time I finally got into the game, I had downloaded software I did not want on my PC and felt stressed out instead of excited to play a new game. Performance also seems worse than it should be on my system. Overall, this is a good example of a game being made more frustrating by unnecessary launcher/DRM layers and a poor PC experience. I’m refunding it despite buying it at 90% off, which says a lot.
Wow!, it's definitely noticeable that this is a Respawn game and not EA. The game ran smoothly for me without any glitches. And it's definitely a complete game without any problems. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. It's true that at first I downloaded the game, I said "Okay, this looks good" but then I uninstalled it and was busy playing other games. But suddenly I wanted to continue the game. The music is amazing but also stressful, especially when you're in the middle of battles. There were times when I was like "Wait a minute, where are the enemies?" Especially when there were some that surprised me a little and came out of hidden places. Yes, I had a WTF scream here and there. I enjoyed everything about the game itself, the atmosphere of the missions, the music, the action, and there were moments when I got a little lost with the map like "Wait! I was already here?" And then discovering all the secret passages that I didn't even know existed. (Yes, friends, I also used YouTube). When I got to the middle of the story, I knew for sure that I would buy the second game to see how they continue the story. The tough moment of these games when you have to use a lot of keys. I personally think the E key was unnecessary in the game. There were times when the player fell and I was like "Oh right, so that he can climb without falling I have to press this." It's not like in Tomb Raider when she does a long or a bit tough jump and before she falls you have to quickly press E. Here it felt a bit unnecessary. But definitely a fun game. The story is interesting - I personally liked it. I think it's a well-made game.
The Ultimate Jedi Fantasy Realized This game is a masterclass in modern Star Wars storytelling and gameplay. It perfectly blends the challenging, calculated combat of Soulslike games with the rewarding exploration of a Metroidvania. Becoming a Jedi feels incredibly satisfying, and the journey across beautifully designed worlds makes this a must-play for both hardcore Star Wars fans and action-adventure enthusiasts. 🟢 Pros Spectacular Combat: Lightsaber combat feels powerful, fluid, and weighty, especially when you start chaining Force abilities with different saber stances. Excellent Level Design: Massive, interconnected planets that reward exploration with cosmetics, lore, and upgrades. Compelling Story & Characters: A gripping, emotional narrative with fantastic character development that fits perfectly into the Star Wars canon. Cinematic Set Pieces: Visually stunning environments and epic boss fights that feel straight out of a movie. 🔴 Cons Performance Issues: Even on solid hardware, you will experience occasional frame drops, stuttering, or texture pop-ins. Clunky Navigation: The Holomap can be confusing to read at times, making backtracking for collectibles a bit tedious. Frustrating Platforming: Some hit detection during complex wall-running or jumping sequences can feel slightly inconsistent. Final Verdict: 9/10 Highly Recommended. Despite some technical rough edges, it is easily one of the best single-player Star Wars experiences ever made. Buy it without hesitation!
The game had a slow start and didn't hook me right away but it got much better as I progressed After the first few hours I was really enjoying it Overall I'd rate it 8/10
It was an enjoyable experience, with a decent enough combat although as it was obviously inspired by sekiro i spent a good bit of time comparing it to it and to be honest it does not hold up but it still shines on its own, other than that the games has some cinematic set pieces that are just absolutely gorgeous a good OST to accompany the adventure and nice enough puzzles to scratch you head a couple of times
AAA slop final boss.
You've got wall climbing, squeezing through tight openings, sliding down slopes, spamming X/square combat, parrying, dodging, staggering, 3rd person camera, long cutscenes, Debra Wilson, diabolically ugly women, bonfires, metroidvania elements, etc. Soulless game that was designed by commitee.
