Prices

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0.6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
A very impressively simple yet satisfying and interesting game. 11/10 I can point to the prequel, ultimate general gettysburg as another interesting title, but cannot in good faith tell you to enjoy anything that comes later.
Great game. Newly downloaded, but so far my opinion is quite high.

As a 25 year veteran of Total War and War of Rights, I am enthralled to report UGCW is a MUST-HAVE for any E:TW or Napoleon fans: 1. Dozens of incredible Quality of Life improvements over TW. Units move/skirmish/fire/retreat/reform much more intuitively. PLUS Detach or Re-Attach skirmishers from large infantry units seamlessly! PLUS Combine weakened units mid-fight!!! 2. Mouth-watering resource management. Manpower and Money, two simple resources. Do I buy horses and carbines for 500 men, or do I buy rusty old smoothbores for 3000 men? 3. Very difficult. Teaches me how to remain steady under fire. 4. Rogue-lite experience. Defeat is still rewarding.

Your army requires planning from the start to get through the later battles. Choose your upgrades wisely
Tolles einfaches Strategiespiel für jeden. Viel Liebe zum Detail der Schlachtfelder usw... für den Preis, auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
What I really like: decent AI. Feels realistic with real historic vibe. Short games. What I don't like: Some battles feel strange as they are scripted : sometimes the battle is interrupted & armies start at a total new position. It even happens that you take one position and after an interruption, your armies are withdrawn and you have to take the exact same position again.
Pretty good. Was looking for something to scratch my Civil War itch since Take Command is too old to work on my pc.
just a lot of fun
