The Coin Game

Do not buy this game! Creator sold out to some shady company that is harvesting your data. Now he's looking for pity after screwing over thousands of people.... It was a great game before he sold but now it's a scam from the company that bought him out. He pulled the mental health card for pity as to why he sold. Really lame.

Don't buy this game. The solo dev sold it to a shady company, who doubled the price to $20 and introduced a data harvesting EULA for the 1.0 launch. If you click agree, you give up your data metrics and accept that you only own a temporary, revocable license to play the game. If you violate their strict corporate terms, they can legally terminate your access to the game at any time. Save your money.

Not gonna lie, this game was always a bit... rough. I bought this years ago, and I never really paid attention to the news and played this when i needed a sit and relax game. One time I joined the discord, every single message was disabled from being sent, and I can't even recall why cause i left same day. I liked the charm when i bought it, it was also at a lower price. I haven't even played the 1.0 version because there are some reviews warning people not to buy. But you know what? I wanted to confirm this for myself. The EULA is new, and when I bought this it didn't exist. I decided to take a look, a full, look. Reading the EULA agreement for anything particularly unsettling. I'll list quotes here that are taken directly from the agreement at the last part of the review. As someone who bought the game in the past, I would've maybe recommended it as it had potential. But now i advise against it. The latest dev blog explains everything with the lack of professionalism and asking for forgiveness. I'm an outsider, and this sorta thing usually doesn't bother me as it's drama related. But I've observed this game for years, the only product you'll get is your own disappointment and hopefully a refund. Why do I have to agree that the game is only licensed to me when I owned it before 1.0 release? After trying it I'm not sure how you even play dunko in survival mode anymore so probably wont be bothering again. A real shame as this game was great before the 1.0 release. would not recommend purchasing while doing so doesn't even let you own the game. if possible, I would not recommend updating as you will seemingly no longer own the game.

Dev sold out and ruined the game

I'll just summarize it as a buggy mess. Jank is fine, game breaking bugs requiring constant game restarts is not.

As a huge fan of 'Tower Unite' and other digital carnival games, I had high hopes that this would be a nice diversion providing some new coin-drop games. What I got was immediate jank with some potential buried inside. This game is like the title: accurate in the strictest sense (There is, indeed, one Coin Game in Coin Game, though the preview says there are more somewhere), but the excecution is very clunky. The first thing I did was walk into a machine and get stuck to it. Then I spent several minutes trying to play another game because there was a graphic where the other machines card reader was, but the actual reader was above and out of my field of vision. The games themselves are alright, but not what they could be. On Skee-Ball, the player is repositioned after every throw, on another game, there is an extra step before you use a pressure-meter to throw, blowing your timing. Every part of the interface seems to slow you down or mess with your rhythm. It makes these casual games turn into a slog. That said, while I cannot recommend it, I will not be refunding it. The developer seems to be actively working on this game, and the price is fair enough to be a reasonable gamble on the game improving. There is a good game in here, it just needs some quality of life tweaks and some polish. I wish the developer well, and will keep checking back with this title.

dev got greedy and sold the game to some malicious company, rip i really liked this game and hoped it would one day turn into something really good but it seems that is not possible anymore unless the dev can get the game back and undo this pr nightmare

this game was a lot better in the beta because all of the locations had a lot more arcade games. i dunno what the hell happened during development that caused a lot of the games to disappear and the locations to be much smaller, but i really felt like this game was not hard to beat at all. take me back to the alpha days.....im tired boss....

Game ran fine during EA but now after the 1.0 release I cant turn in any tickets without getting locked up on the ticket redemption machine Game was fun when it worked but sadly I cant recommend it in its current state
