+Cheap for the quality you get +Fun twists on traditional guns (I really like the sniper slingshot) +Great atmosphere, like a funhouse mascot-horror BioShock +replayability with hidden areas and new-game plus, short enough not to feel like a slog doing so -late game guns replace early game guns (the minigun is just a better smg etc) -lack of combat diversity, everything is just different flavors of shoot-till-it-dies -story is fed in a neat way but is predictable and tries to hard at the end

boomer shooter 👍. play now if you like half-life, wolfenstein, doom, etc. - lots of weapons that are satisfying to use - fun writing - good voice acting - great atmosphere nits: - ui art design not perfect & overly animated - level design is great, but geometry too simplistic - texture work on level geometry is poor sometimes (i.e. can look stretched) - press e to pickup is annoying - enemy movement could be better - performance is worse than expected. ran 144 fps with rare occasional downwards spikes on *medium* with all post-processing enabled. - last boss was too simple mechanically

What an awesome surprise. I played the demo of this back in next fest when it came out and remembered enjoying it but not really understanding all of the vibe it was giving off. Decided to grab it right away because it stuck out in my mind as something that had a lot of potential and i do not regret it one bit. It plays just like the Bioshock games but without the water puzzles and with a but more straightforward, boomer shooter style encounters and all around it feels super tight. The story is super cheesy in the best possible way pulling from old school Hollywood as an inspiration evoking and playing with early horror/monster movies from the golden era of universal. It's not too long of an experience taking me around 5 hours for my first playthrough where i did a little bit of exploring. There is a new game plus feature though that actually changes the course of the game and the areas/levels you encounter which feels like such an awesome thing to include for replayability without getting stale. Overall the is a super fun, campy, weighty shooter that knocks it out of the park as an 8 out of 10 with a bullet. Fully recommend this if it looks interesting to you and there's is a very solid amount of content for the price. Give it a try.

bioshock like game short story good can cheap whats not to like

The game is good i recommend it if you like BioShock. the ending didn't land with me that well but the music is nice and the story is good.

Great game with an even greater story.
