About
Break free of the grid in Town to City: a cozy city builder that invites you to create a beautiful and bustling community.
Freely place houses, shops, and amenities and natural elements to delight your residents and encourage new families to move in. As your population grows, so can your ambitions: create multiple towns that can grow alone or thrive together, helping the whole region develop and prosper.
In story or sandbox mode, you're free to build at your own pace, placing each flower bed with pixel precision, or prioritise growing your economy and developing your town into a thriving city.
Truly grid-less building sets you free to lay out your town however you like. Plan out carefully ordered rows of houses and city districts, or grow outwards organically with residences, amenities, parks and plazas connected by winding streets and alleys. Freely shape the land beneath your feet with terraforming tools for elevation, water, and terrain.
Beautify your settlement to your heart's content with a plethora of customisation options. Set up lighting, plant flowers and wooded parks, and decorate houses and buildings to complement or contrast. With gorgeous voxel graphics as a base and plenty of tools for fine-tuning, it's easy to create something beautiful that you'll want to capture with the in-game photo mode or stroll through in first-person view.
As your town flourishes, you’ll need to meet the needs of your growing population. Provide amenities that will cater for everyone – from workers to artisans and the bourgeoisie – alongside specific requests by individual residents. Get to know each person as they arrive in town, and watch them settle down to form new families in the homes you built for them with pets and livestock by their side.
Assign workers to jobs, research new buildings and decorations, and boost your sleepy settlement into a bustling centre of commerce. As you expand beyond the bounds of your first town, you'll pursue new developments in farming and tourism by building new towns, all connected by trade and travel routes.

Un jeu très chill, mais qui apporte une certaines logistiques. Il est aussi très complet.
Usually not a big fan of city builder games, but I decided to give this one a try, and it got me hooked! I like that this game feels more about, at least to me, "make a pretty looking town" rather than about resource management, it's quite relaxing. I managed to unlock everything on the research menu in about 15 hours, but my main town only fills about 1/4 of the entire map, so there are still stuff to do. It can get a bit slow especially at the later part of the game, and it can get a bit overwhelming sometimes, but a reminder to take the game slowly as I'm not racing against anything keep me grounded. There are tons of buildings and decorations to choose from, and I love the fact that you can decorate each buildings (my mind was blown away when I found out that I can put lights on the doors / windows of a building), I'm excited for the upcoming update on custom houses. I do encounter a few bugs, mainly UI, but thankfully none of them are game breaking, and at worst, it can usually be fixed by reloading into the map. It also feels like the game is not greatly optimized, but still very playable. Love the art-style, love the music, love the theme, love the flexibility it provides, love how relaxing it is. Overall, quite a lot of content for it's price!
fun stuff
It's been some time since a city builder has impressed me like this one. It is so simple, yet detail oriented depending on how you would like it to be. Everything seems to boil down to personal choice other than the preferences of townsfolk. I highly recommend this game - if you want to sink your teeth into your own beautiful curated city.
It's really fun and chill. It's so easy to create pleasant looking towns and villages. And yet there is complexity, which at the time of writing I'm still in the process of learning. Great game!
yh is gud
