About
Break free of the grid in Town to City: a cozy city builder that invites you to create a beautiful and bustling community.
Freely place houses, shops, and amenities and natural elements to delight your residents and encourage new families to move in. As your population grows, so can your ambitions: create multiple towns that can grow alone or thrive together, helping the whole region develop and prosper.
In story or sandbox mode, you're free to build at your own pace, placing each flower bed with pixel precision, or prioritise growing your economy and developing your town into a thriving city.
Truly grid-less building sets you free to lay out your town however you like. Plan out carefully ordered rows of houses and city districts, or grow outwards organically with residences, amenities, parks and plazas connected by winding streets and alleys. Freely shape the land beneath your feet with terraforming tools for elevation, water, and terrain.
Beautify your settlement to your heart's content with a plethora of customisation options. Set up lighting, plant flowers and wooded parks, and decorate houses and buildings to complement or contrast. With gorgeous voxel graphics as a base and plenty of tools for fine-tuning, it's easy to create something beautiful that you'll want to capture with the in-game photo mode or stroll through in first-person view.
As your town flourishes, you’ll need to meet the needs of your growing population. Provide amenities that will cater for everyone – from workers to artisans and the bourgeoisie – alongside specific requests by individual residents. Get to know each person as they arrive in town, and watch them settle down to form new families in the homes you built for them with pets and livestock by their side.
Assign workers to jobs, research new buildings and decorations, and boost your sleepy settlement into a bustling centre of commerce. As you expand beyond the bounds of your first town, you'll pursue new developments in farming and tourism by building new towns, all connected by trade and travel routes.

jeux simple, beau et surtout facile à comprendre, pour jouer tranquille le soir c'est le top
I sadly wasn't able to play it for too long. It was incredibly laggy and prone to critical errors when opening the game. That being said, it's a beautiful, relaxing game if you can play. I've been watching YouTubers play it and the envy is real. As a person who frequently plays Civ, it was something I was looking forward to playing as a wind down game. Alas, I hope others out there are enjoying it, and thriving! Do not play if you have these specs, it's literally unplayable with low graphics and performance settings active.
Cozy little city builder. I can recommend this for anyone who wants a nice laid back game to spend time in, or people who are a little daunted by usual city builders. It is almost difficult to actually RUIN your work in this one, for better or for worse, and usually that's just at the start. People don't die in waves or you don't get a sudden natural disaster or crowds don't start to get bored and hate your city unless you constantly make sweeping changes, it's all very stable. This also removes a lot of any challenge, but if you go into this thinking of it more like a low-maintenance turtle pond instead of a 10,000 gallon exotic fish tank, I think you'll enjoy it.
Honestly this game has brought my love back for gaming. Its so relaxing yet fun, allows you to be truly creative there's no pre made cities or town you have to start from scratch and build and design your city. There's also tiny missions you have to do to make your citizens happy and its fun and a nice distraction from just grinding out a city. No lag or crashing, the music is great and relaxing I really like the song that plays when you upgrade the town. Overall 5/5
Chill game, looks good, mechanics seem sound. If you accept your citizens requests your city quickly becomes filled in with a large variety of things which makes it look organic. I normally suck at making cities look nice but it seems effortless in this game. If I were going to describe this game It's hard to call it a city builder. It is a city builder, but the emphasis is way more on beautifying the city and completing citizen requests (although this is optional). It isn't like your traditional city building games where you are making districts, managing pollution, setting up electrical and plumbing grids. Nope, this game is mostly about providing commodities, making your citizens happy by decorating, and building the best looking city possible, which is just fine by me. I do recommend this game to anyone looking to build a pretty little country village into a city. I am 6 hours in and just realized that there was a map icon. I haven't started the second city yet (presumably for trade and tourism) but seems to be more farming focused which I am looking forward to. if it has as much variety as this first city I have no doubt it will look amazing. Pros -Easy to pick up/learn -Interface is nice, search bar for decorations once you start unlocking a lot of those. -Looks great (it looks simplistic, but when you zoom in the voxels become more detailed and this art style really shines in my opinion, especially on the zoom in) -Citizens actually move around and use the things you build, even scenery pieces. I was surprised to see a trickle of citizens showing up to a park that I was in the process of putting the finishing touches on. -Runs great -Music is charming and easy to relax to -Pacing seems right on, by the time you finish decorating something, new citizens have shown up and you have time to make a new house, or you can just continue what you were doing, they are fine just waiting. (pacing would be slow if you don't decorate, but there is a fast forward button) -Camera can be controlled multiple ways and is very intuitive. Also has settings to change it if you prefer. -There are option you can select while building that make the building snap to roads, build curbs themselves, auto delete decorations in the way, or ignore clipping of decorations. Because of these toggles you can basically do anything you want. Cons -I don't think you can lose, and if you can its very hard, so if you want a challenge this is probably not for you. -When adding new citizens you often times get spammed with workshops that are now too low on labor, I wish there was a way they would auto fill (if that does exist I haven't seen it, haven't looked too hard though). -Maybe it's a bug, or maybe just a visual glitch, but when I use different road types the pathing acts as if the two roads are not connected, so I am stuck using 1 road type. Altho the bridge decorations don't show up to me as an available path, so they might just be cosmetic?
Very beautiful game. And so easy to understand and free of creativity choices... so beautiful. Would love to get some more speech instead of textboxes. Sure that would allow even younger players to enjoy this amazing game. love it. My daughter does so aswell :-)
Truly the coziest, most adorable game in my library! This one is a favorite for sure, and with more updates to come I am so excited to see where this game goes! Love that there are multiple game modes and you can customize the sandbox mode features to add as much challenge to it as you want, so even after you play the main game you can build in new worlds from scratch! Runs very smoothly, no glitches for my PC. I can't recommend this enough! If you're thinking about buying it JUST DO IT you will love it more than you expected and it's only getting better!!
Very cozy game! Decorations go further than you think in it!
My only complaint is about the population density debuff, I understand the point but I like to build residential neighbors and I would have appreciated a function to toggle the debuff off, as the game propose itself as cozy and easy going I don't see why stressing the player for putting a bunch of houses togheter. Said so, everything else was perfect. I love the esthetic that is extremely cohesive, the infinite personalization possibilities, the quality of the animations is unbelievable. this is really a stunning game. Performance wise, the game crashed a couple of times and there was some stuttering in some moments where I was trying to move pets around, but other than that, the performance, considering the quality and the amount of variables, was honestly pretty solid. Hoping that there will be more options in the future to personalize the gameplay, I suggest this to every city builder lover.
Good detail and fun. Very fun
