This is 13/273 of my games backlog on Steam. Easily one of the best stealth games to ever do it, and honestly I was surprised playing the first game how congruous it is to one of my favorite games of all time Chaos Theory, but even more so how much the first game clearly had an influence on 3rd person shooters as well. There is no doubt tons of fun to be had with this game, but here are the caveats to remember: 1. This is an old PC game, getting the Splinter Cell Enhanced mod from github is an absolute must. The fixes in place are gargantuan and are better than some official remakes of other games. Controller support is also included, which is a must have in my opinion, unless you're a keyboard fanatic. 2. This is the hardest splinter cell game without a doubt, you can still save freely so it's not punishing, but it is designed to corner you multiple times through daunting level design, and some honestly cheap scripted events (i.e. a guy opens a door to a brightly lit room you're in once you cross a certain threshold i swear that happens like 5 times). Since it's the 1st game, some of the better additions are absent, but it still manages to be really fun. But, sometimes the lack of a sound meter does kill it with how hard it is to gauge when you're audible. A must play for stealth fans, or any big gamers.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Jugabilidad8Sigilo quirúrgico; cuando encaja, es adictivo.

Dificultad / IA8Exigente y punitivo; te obliga a jugar “bien”.

Ok i want to really like it coming from metal gear and i use sam in siege but arrrgghhhhhhh it was painful trying to be a wee bit more aggro at subduing people in this game. sam's melee hits like a wet noodle when spotted. and some of the game systems can be janky as hell like the shooting which i can cut slack. but the light detection , movement , keypads and retina eyescanners where i have to subdue someone adds up to the jank. myanmar and the pla embassy were the worst suspects in that one. i dont mind the game not holding my hand if i had multiple options to go about the level but it just becomes trial and error which makes it more of a test of willpower. oh well i heard chaos theory improves the formula so ill give it a try eventually i leave the thumbs up as its good to e
Boy am I still in love with this game
As a fan of stealth games, this is honestly one of the worst games I’ve ever played in the genre. The game is completely broken, the aiming is awful, and the enemy AI is stupid as hell, the level design is terrible too, sometimes I have no idea where I’m supposed to go or what I’m supposed to do. I won’t deny that it had some great ideas for its time but the execution is just bad. A lot of people seem to love it mainly because of nostalgia. If you’ve played the best stealth games out there, don’t waste your time with this.
