Better than Binding of Isaac cuz its actually fun and skill based and doesnt cause severe anal bleeding. Theres actually multiple difficulty levels and tough optional bosses. So if you think the main path is easy, then try optional bosses or continue grinding the game until you can unlock difficulty levels.
You can perfect skip the cutscene between levels 10/10
I wish a girl would love me as much as the devs love this game.
I absolutely suck at shmups and normally don't play too many of them, but this game also has a sort of exploration element that reminds me a bit of Guardian Legend on NES. There is also a roguelite element, because by law every game these days has to have one apparently. The presentation is charming and the music is very good, and at the end of the day you sort of have a shmup version of something like Shovel Knight- a good mixup of old and new. I may never actually be able to beat this game, but I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. Recommended.
Excellent gamefeel, a few different interesting weapons, and a bunch of different enemies that make the game look varied. But the upgrades are really unexciting (+5% damage! 25% ammo reload!), and the game isn't challenging enough to make progress exciting. It's pretty weird (and a shame!) seeing a game that's got such good feel, but really bland overall structure; and that really wastes the roguelike aspect.

Even though I was disappointed to discover this was a rouge-like game and not more a linear storyline, it has remained a highly enjoyable and addictive experience for me that is excellent for passing some time and testing my skills. Every time i open this game and start a dive I find myself swept into the gameplay loop once more. I just wish there was more focus on characters and narrative elements because the lore of this world seems so deep, but we never get much further than a surface level view of a lot of things i feel ... It's not that there isnt a lot here becuase there is, just expect a more subtext type narrative rather than something elaborate like deltarune or something, some lore elements that add depth seem to be in the form of little easter eggs. This is my standing on the game after beating normal mode and hard mode. There is still a lot of content left though. This game does have an ENORMOUSSSS amount of replayability. So if you're interested still based on this review, I'd highly recommend buying it and supporting the devs!
You can almost touch the talent and passion oozing from this game. It's a work of art, but now one you look at, one you actually play. It's amazing, but it does make me feel old af, since it's quite hard to keep track of everything going on on the screen. This is one of those games that forces you to lock in, especially when fighting bosses. Even If you're not a fan of top down twitch shooters or bullet hell, I still recommend you give it a shot. It's something really special.
Many things in this game are not intuitive. You have to die over and over just to figure out how the mechanics work, making it a frustrating experience from a design aspect. Meta progression is pretty disappointing too.
