This is the best arcade racer since Burnout Paradise, Wipeout hd, Ridge Racer 7, and Trackmania Turbo. Genki is back and showing that they still got it, and better than ever after all these years later, mad respect. I've been playing Tokyo extreme racer 2 on a Sega Dreamcast i got, ended up researching this series and found out they dropped this game last year. Instantly bought it, no regrets. Better yet, theres a been a lot of QOL improvements, and when you tune your car, you get to hear a fire remix of the tokyo extreme racer 2 title screen. Seriously if your not convinced go listen to "tokyo xtreme racer 2025 - clever drive remix" on youtube. Sims can be great, but its the arcade racers time to shine with this one

cars+expressway+music = fun

Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2025 es un juego que, para bien o para mal, se siente como un viaje al pasado. Lo mejor que tiene es su progresión y el loop de juego: es simple pero engancha. Entrás, corrés, mejorás el auto, volvés a correr… y cuando querés darte cuenta, ya le metiste varias horas. El manejo es divertido y cumple perfecto con lo que propone. Se agradece muchísimo que sea un juego “a la vieja escuela”: nada de season pass, ni microtransacciones invasivas, ni live service. Comprás el juego y listo. En lo técnico, los gráficos y el sonido son correctos. No destacan, pero tampoco molestan. Ahora, no todo es perfecto. El juego es bastante básico en su propuesta, y el loop puede volverse monótono: básicamente son carreras tipo picadas donde gana el que logra separarse del otro. Además, a veces no queda claro en qué conviene invertir el dinero o los puntos de mejora, lo que puede generar cierta frustración. Otro punto en contra es el mapa único sin variación de clima ni ciclo día/noche. Para un juego al que le podés dedicar 40 horas, esto termina pasando factura en la variedad. Conclusión: No es revolucionario, pero es divertido y cumplidor. Si te gustan los juegos de carreras arcade con progresión simple y sin complicaciones modernas, probablemente lo disfrutes mucho.

Fun early 2000s style racer with satisfying RPG like progression. You don't start with a Bugatti and that's a good thing.

I lost my Banapass card and really wanted my WMMT6RR fix. This is so much cheaper than Maxi Tune (in the long run) lol, even if you don't buy it on sale. The only thing its missing is some sort of multiplayer but I don't really know how you'd balance that. More cars would be nice, a DLC full of Porsches and Corvettes would probably sell pretty well. It will run with 55+ fps on a 1050 ti on Low settings, 1600 x 900 with Native Resolution. It'll reach 60 if you bother to overclock it. It's very well optimized for a UE5 game. Dust clouds and some lighting effects will cause it to drop to 16 fps but you should be fine as long as you don't crash.

If you desire to dominate C1 with your 3 rotor FD3S or fly in Wangan with your VR38 Supra, this is the game for you. [spoiler]You may need to grind a lot though.[/spoiler] However, if you are new to the series, it's better to check some gameplay videos before purchasing, as it's not a typical racing game, but a street racing battle single player RPG. In shutokou battles, don't ever expect sportsmanship , you use all talents and tactics to outmatch every single street racer appearing in your sight and prove that you are the true unrivaled one, the incarnate of Shoto Expressway. Yes, this game is full of chunibyo. I hope Genki will always be genki.

Oh hell yeah this game rules. I realized my favourite track on every racing game is the Shuto expressway so this is an instant hit for me.
