Live a week in the life of "The POSTAL Dude"; a hapless everyman just trying to check off some chores. Buying milk, returning an overdue library book, getting Gary Coleman's autograph, what could possibly go wrong?

Postal 2 is one of those rare sequels that completely changes the tone of its predecessor while still kind of managing to feel like a natural evolution. It went from psychological horror and its disturbing descent into madness to dark comedy with absurd violence and satire on the state of the United States. What made the game so good is how open the gameplay is in its chaotic world. Nearly every objective can be approached in different orders for every given day. This game also allows players to behave like a relatively normal citizen or go full postal upon the town of Paradise. Combined with the amazing soundtrack and surprisingly entertaining plot the game definitely remains enjoyable even in current day. It goes without saying that this game is far from perfect. It has annoying loading areas and tends to crash which may or may not hinder your progress. Some parts of the game especially in Apocalypse Weekend feel noticeably rough due to budget cuts. Even so the sheer freedom it offers makes it easy to overlook many of its shortcomings. The game is still worth its price, if you ever feel like you're bored try playing this. It definitely had me laughing at how ridiculous it got at times.
I kicked Osama bin Laden in the balls and pissed on him, 10/10 greatest game to ever touch steam.
my friend forced me at gunpoint to buy this game, i regret nothing.
The best hyperviolent sandbox game out there. A lovely little piece of satire that was a response to the political push to blame video games for violent crime.
blah blah blah its peak and worth every penny and its better than jacking off
Postal 2 is one of the greatest games ever made. From its great combat, exploration and music the world of paradise never seems to get boring. Postal 2 is an incredible commentary of the american way of life with a protagonist who has become so dulled by the day to day motions to become a full blown killer, what makes this stand out from the first game however is that EVERYONE in paradise seems to be crazed and blood thirsty even the slightest inconvenience sets off these people, in alot of ways this is more relevant to the modern day than it was back in 2003. Paradise itself seems to be against the player its harsh visual style and admittedly sometimes confusing layout is a hostile environment that i just adore. (which is expanded on even more in the DLC Paradise Lost). The gameplay is very interesting everyday you are given a set of errands that get increasing more difficult and absurd given to the Postal Dude by the accurately named "The ♥♥♥♥♥." Postal 2's tagline "Remember its only as violent as you are!" is reflected in these tasks, to use an example the first task most players end up doing is "Get Milk" which is done by going to the lucky ganesh and grabbing the milk from the back you are now put a crossroads. Either wait in line and pay normally avoiding all combat and violence or attempt escaping the building without paying for the milk which has the employees from the back come out and try to kill the player. How does one survive this combat encounter? With the weapons expertly hidden around paradise some weapons you can pick up from enemys. But for the others postal requires players to explore (which is often what i found myself doing the most) every area of this game is crafted to feel almost offputtingly empty with the occasional item laying around or hidden on top of buildings aside from the citizens in the streets and in stores going into back areas or alleys leaves you with a odd sense of emptyness as the games droning ambience plays while you scrounge for items. The guns all feel great (my personal favorites being the basic pistol you can find from nearly every npc in the game and the lever-action shotgun which is always well hidden because of its incredible damage). The guns arent the only things you can find health items like the "Health" pipe and fast food, gameplay items like catnip which slows down time for quick get aways and the crack-cola which allows you to duel wield weapons for a short period of time. the weapon and item options in postal 2 feel nearly limitless on a first playthrough of the game. Another factor of this game i adore is its soundtrack while walking the streets of paradise the only sound that can be heard is droning background noise and the sounds of the world around you (alot of these backing tracks are actually reused from postal 1 in some way). Inside buildings like the bank or mall very pleasant tracks play usually made for the specific areas (some standouts of mine are Mall Muzack 1 and Map Muzack.) And finally and most obviously the games great writing and humor, Postal 2 is a masterclass in irony and crude humor a favorite example of mine is when you go to confess your sins at the church and a huge battle between the preists and muslims breakout starting with a very funny intro cutscene. At a surface level the humor of postal can seem very blunt and "offensive" for the sake of being offensive but i think the games comedy perfectly shows how america as a place makes no sense and postal is the american life style cranked up to 1000 percent. Postal 2 Multiplayer A very small portion of postal players have played the multiplayer PVP mode created for postal 2 granted its a little janky but thats where the fun comes from i have had tons of fun fighting in my friends in the arena style pvp mode. The maps are all great areas from the base game either visually changed or completely re-arranged to fit the pvp mode, and the original maps made just for the game mode are great aswell its a underrated aspect of this game. (Although it takes a LOOOOOOONG time to download its locked to some ancient download server that downloads the maps at Kb/s.) (IF YOU EVER GET THE TIME WATCH THE POSTAL MOVIE ITS VERY CAMPY AND KIND OF BAD BUT STILL FUNNY NONE THE LESS)
its the best game fo people with adhd and a love for chaos and curiosity, now i repent in the name of the lord, but this game is morally twisted and i love it, its like playing as trevor from gta 5 or something.
