If you've seen Wangan Midnight, you are morally obligated to play this game.
I love this game so much. if you really want a good fun arcade racing experince this and night runners are the goats.
Awesome racing, “sense of speed” kinda reminds me of Need for Speed Underground.. Also has been working perfectly for me on Steam Deck, as well…(in case anyone’s wondering)
This is the first proper racing game that I bought, and I've been playing it every day this week so far. I just love how every race is unique and how the music is so over-the-top. The lore behind the racers and Shuto expressway really immerse me into this world. And I also love to just weave through traffic at high speeds, and customise my machine. If you like racing games, then I would highly recommend this one.
At risk of sounding cynical it's pretty telling that one of the most fun and charming racing games in the last few years is really just a modernised PS2 game, but more than anything that should be a compliment to this series. The Tokyo Xtreme Racer series is known to be obtuse and I myself have struggled to really get into it several times, but if you manage to like them eventually then you will like this game. There are a few things to criticise about this game however. The car roster is less interesting than in previous games, which also included some selection of European and American manufacturers. The plot is not very interesting, which is something that can be said of most of these games except this time there is far more dialogue involved. It's not like I play racing games for the plot, but past games made the right choice in conveying the plot mostly through context. The difficulty curve can feel a bit all over the place. Car customisation has become more limited than in previous games. None of these are deal-breakers, but that doesn't mean they're meaningless. That said I can't really recommend any modern single-player racing game over Tokyo Xtreme Racer. At the end of the day it's a fun and challenging racing game with a satisfying driving model, simple but effective gameplay loop, tons of personality and a very high replay value.

This is very early review so I'll keep it short: + Support for Logitech G29 wheel out of the box (everything works) + Outstanding Visuals - No FG for AMD GPUs (they support RTX 40 series onwards) I'm looking forward to update my review once I immerse myself more into world of Tokyo.
Japan expressway is beautiful
Game: Peak Game Dev: Peak Game Series: Peak Difficulty: Very Hard for new comers but Easy to vets. I love this game and I love Genki Racing Project (why don't we have c1 gran prix 2 for international release and to revive the GRP).
This is cool. Positive review and most likely worth trying out if you're into old school racing games. The price tag however is very heavy. Is this a $50 game? I really do not think so. $40 is even pushing it. There is just other games with a true, huge, open world for this price tag, that sometimes is even cheaper.
