The Withcer 3 has been completed and with it so much i could say. I'll start with some negatives and nitpicks as there are very few but they did sort of affect the experience. There were quite a few bugs every now and then, my horse would get stuck in a maze of invisible walls, people in the background would start tweaking out of nowhere, and like three game crashes which were annoying. A problem with the game that isnt optimization is the combat. You do get used to it and it isn't super bad to say, but it can get super bland and uninspired especially for a game that came it after so many other games that it could draw inspiration from. The upgrades all feel pretty pointless (not the damage upgrades or better gear but like the ability upgrades) and I often found my self just sticking to the base move set of light heavy and parry or dodge. The quest design is very hit or miss, I love the stories that every quest tells but the objectives can be tedious. A lot of the contracts are the same, talk to person a, investigate crime scene, kill monster, talk to person a again, collect reward. This wouldn't be an issue but it also bleeds into the main quest where sometimes the entire main quest is just talk to three people and fetch something, but the amazing characters and story makes up for that. Geralt also at times felt very bland but not enough to ruin anything, I still finished the base game loving Geralt and his story. The pros, however, are so plentiful. This is potentially the best cast of characters in any media ever, I loved everyone and the stories they told and what they added to the game especially Ciri and Yennifer, they were the stars of the entire game to me. I cared for every single one of them, they made me laugh, gasp, cry, angry, so many feelings that I got to feel all because of the amazing writing and acting from the entire cast. The story, isn't super original or anything but that has never stopped a story from being fantastic, In loved almost every second of it (there were some moments where the game came to like a screeching stop out of nowhere during a mission that felt very urgent) other than that though I loved it all the way through. Don't get me started on the world, it was so beautiful and lore rich, as if I was exploring an actual place, the people were all there own character and everything you did opened the world up more and more making you appreciate this place as if it was somewhere you could really visit and fall in love with. The scenery was perfect and often the camera would shoot to the mountains and the wild life during peaceful cutscenes and just because of how beautiful the world was it made those shots that much better. Overall I think this game came so close to perfect in my eyes with really optimization and the combat being glaring issues but not enough to keep me from loving every hour of this game, its hard to put a number to it but if I am being completely honest it is a 10/10 in my heart. I haven't fallen in love with a game this hard since like Elden Ring. "Objectively" speaking however I would give it a 9/10, but who care about "objectivity", reviews are about the heart so I give it a 10/10 and I am more than excited to devour the DLC now and The Witcher 4
