About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Reviews
the attention to detail is amazing and i honestly loved the COMEDY and dialog on the first planet Eden but after that it just became boring slow woke slop that just kept dragging on wasting your time and on top of that playing on controller feels HORRIBLE

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I love the animations, guns feel awesome and Audio is excellent. Negative 1. The game is currently not loading up for me, it gets stuck on preparing shaders/textures. Something is wrong with the optimization of this game. 2. The game feels dead, and I think its because of the Npcs, I wish they added Ai llms to have natural conversations with npcs. That would save this game.
I wanted this to be good, for it to carry the fire the first one had. It just doesn't. It's not just the forced DEI lameness, the completely mid story, or them just reskinning all the creatures from the first game, the gameplay just doesn't feel fun. I've played 80 hours and I have zero interest in this game. It just isn't worth buying. The studio could have done so much, but they just phoned in a crap sequel.
Constantly being reminded that you can’t do something because you don’t have the right skill was frustrating for me. All the exploration I did felt like a waste of time. Oh, there’s something here, but you don’t have the required skill or your skill level isn’t high enough. I understand that some players will enjoy this system, but there is little warning about how it works until it feels too late. The intro was fun because its exploration felt similar to other games I love, and every skill check was only level one. Later, you can be trained in the right skill and still fail because you are one point short. So what are you supposed to do? Save scum your training points to accomplish things? You can spread your points too widely, but you have no way of knowing that until it is too late. Every skill decides whether you can do something, so it feels like you need all of them, except the game won’t let you have them all. There should at least be a chance of succeeding instead of a hard failure because you are short. I think the writing and the characters I’ve seen are great, but once you get into the game, you encounter red box after red box showing what you could have done but you can't. Red. Red. Red. Red signals anger, and that isn’t fun. I understand what the game is trying to do, but it is clearly not for me.
отличный фолаут
I'm only 14 hours in, so I can't give a complete review, only my thoughts so far. It's FAAAAR better than a lot of negative reviews here seem to claim, IMO. Far better than the treatment I've seen it get on Reddit and elsewhere. So much so that I honestly wonder how many of those people even played the game beyond just loading it up for 30 minutes on Game Pass and then jumping on the hate bandwagon. People want New Vegas...well, this is the closest thing Obsidian has made to New Vegas since New Vegas. Like in New Vegas, choices matter in OW2, and the choices you make reverberate out in many ways. There's numerous approaches you can take to almost every problem, and the characters and world react organically to whatever solutions you go with...and there even seems to be dialogue to react to in what sequence you do things. This makes the world feel very alive in precisely the same way New Vegas did. Granted, it's not Baldur's Gate 3 in that regard (nothing is), but there's quite a lot of depth to it. Much more so than in Outer Worlds 1, which I grant was too mechanically simple. This improves upon and remedies all of those issues with Outer Worlds 1. Way more weapons, way more armor, unique effects with weapons and armor that can synergize with other skills and perks, etc. This is a true RPG and there's tons of potential for creative and interesting builds. People say the writing is "bad" and/or "cringe". The writing is not bad or "cringe" - it's campy and intentionally so, in a similar way to how Fallout is (but different, much more satirical tone). The "Flaws" system is fantastic. A great idea that I don't think I've seen get enough acclaim. It feel both tighter and deeper than OW1 in terms of it's role-playing mechanics, which I appreciate. Dialogue and action choices have meaninful consequences. There's a lot of different approaches and paths one can take to the various objectives and missions that the game throws at you. Companions were a bit better in the first game, but there's some good ones here. So far it seems to me that the devs want the player to focus on a particular style of gameplay or build and it would be difficult to try to be a jack of all trades. Unlike some of the negative reviews here, I think that's a good thing. It makes it far more interesting and fun to role play than it would be if you could just do everything - pick every lock, charm every NPC, sneak through every location, win every gunfight, etc. I don't understand why anybody would think that would be better design. It wouldn't.
Unacceptably buggy. Got 10 hours in and it is unplayable. Crashes to desktop every time within moments of loading the save file. Every time, without fail. Doesn't matter if I turn DLSS/FSR on or off, doesn't matter what settings I turn on or off or set to low or high. Don't wish this frustration on anyone. Frankly I feel dumb for thinking that a year would be enough time for a large company to iron out literally game-breaking bugs. Clearly this is the new normal and I'm the one who's out of touch. Save yourself the money and the headache.
可惜 太可惜了
This is a similar situation for me like the first version of this title... I got this on discount for half price and after 30 hours I honestly feel like I still paid too much. The story is not engaging, the environment is nothing new or exciting, it looks great don't get me wrong and besides a few crashes the game runs beautifully and oh did I mention the stroy is not enganging because damn it is meh, forgetable characters and a boring story. If you enjoyed borderlands 4 this is probably going to be right up your ally but if you are like me and after 1700 hours of cyberpunk this is going to be an epic grind your teeth playthrough. Buy this heavily discounted or not at all.
