About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Reviews
Obsidian is no longer the Obsidian we known and love. Outer world 1 or 2 feels LGBTQ+ heavily based on the companion and the removal of romance options and varies npc as i play the the game more i feel like they are trying to mimic Fallout NV half of the time the dialog are just too long and boring the main quest feel like a labor with repeated fights with robots no iconic monster or character whatsoever lacks FUN gimmick you go around doing ass rift puzzle or parkour it just feel unfun and boring if you place them so many times and similar in the map AND the map is very hard to go around as there are huge hills and often river that kills you that force you to go the long long long long way The mod system for guns are not well made and annoying to deal with when you have to get them via shops or just dont know how to get the one you need feel unexplained as well the goods thing are 1. great adaptation of fallout nv stat system Build are generally easy to be made just choose your perk and stat on the playstyle you want to focus then you will be good to go 2.the gun play are good and fun with bullet time

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Outer Worlds 2 has many of the same elements that made 1 so much fun. Obsidian's storytelling and dialog is as always on point. We get even more worlds to explore, but the environments are somewhat repetitive. Two planets are both barren landscapes that are filled with a lot of empty space and not much besides dead bodies to loot. Weapons and mods are not particularly remarkable, with limited upgrade possibilities. The skills and perks retain the same concepts from OW1 but after a second playthrough, it's clear that the player is forced into putting points in Lockpick and Hacking. So much of the game is locked behind these 2 skills. It's less of a choice and more of a necessity if you want to experience everything the game has to give. Perks are also locked behind Skills, once again cornering you into perks. Other details I missed was the lack of unique outfits 1 had, though cosmetics were never Outer Worlds strong suit. I would have liked more city landscapes and less industrial, barren locations. Sadly at the end of the day I don't know that this game has broader appeal beyond fans of OW1.
Crashes constantly at random & using fast travel, there's a zero ammo bug which surfaces apparently at random, all of which make the game virtually unplayable.
I had hoped that after 9 months all the major bugs in the game would have been fixed. I did everything I could to ensure the game was as stable as possible, but still crashes every 5-30 minutes. With what little I played struggling to engage me, This game isn't even worth it when on sale for half off. It is just an exercise in tedium and frustration.
This game is an absolute masterpiece. Absolutely incredible graphics, storytelling, combat.... Truly one of the greatest games ever made. The attention to detail is unparalleled, and it shows in literally every aspect of this game. It only leaves two things to be desired... 1.) For the love of all that is holy.... Can we just for once, please, ever, make a game when companions don't immediately hop into your line of fire in combat? If just one game would do it, I could die a happy man. 2.) There needs to be some sort of out-of-combat regeneration that doesn't involve eating 32 tonnes of food. Maybe a 1hp/5 sec out of combat regen? It's not making the gameplay more difficult, having to eat food. It's just tedious and takes away from the game. Other than that, sheer perfection. I wasn't sure if the sequel would live up to the original. But it's somehow even better.
So, I loved the first game. Satire was great, companions were fine, writing was good and the guns were fun. Second game? I really enjoyed it. Again, the satire was great. The companions this round I feel like were better fleshed out and I really enjoyed doing their companion quests. Swapping them around as I played so I could experience their interactions with each other as their own stories evolved was great. I adore Judge Dredd Dad and Lesbian Assassin Math mom. Exploration was fun. I enjoyed scampering across every inch of the game I could find. The jokes were set up well, and I really enjoyed finding jokes that were set up near the begining of the game that paid off later. Seriously, Head Tower and Auntie Cleo is hilarious. If you haven't played it yet, when you get there, you'll get it. Music is superb. Loved the radio, and how things would get reported from different views depending on whose radio station you were listening to. (I adore the Hamilton inspired song.) Gun play is really solid. A lot of gun types, and its really on me for this but I didn't find too many of them to be worth using? Once I got a certain SMG from a locked container, I pretty much only used that. Outside of the "Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself" cannon you can get. That isn't its name, but that's the vibe it gives. I did think it was pretty short, but the first game had two DLC's out when I played it. I am for sure coming back when the DLC's drop. If you enjoyed the writing and humor of the first one, you'll probably like this one. Hacking/Engineering/Lockpicking/Speech will pretty much get you into everything in the game, and from what I experienced were the most common skills to come into play. Like, with those skills and some points into Guns I was pretty much unkillable. My only real deaths were self inflicted or I got waaay too cocky. I never really felt like anything was unbalanced. Don't spend bits on food. You get soooooo much food. Remember. Time is bits, and bits is everything! **Edit** THE GAME DOES NOT DO A GOOD JOB OF TELLING YOU THAT THERE IS A TRANSMOG SYSTEM. You do have to keep the item you're copying the appearence of in your inventory, but there is that feature in the game. Which is great.
sailed the 7 seas with this one for about 50 hours til i decided that I liked it so much I wanted to buy it! since you know we dont "own" games anymore and cant rent games on PC that is the only way. If i like a game and it runs on my computer I WILL BUY IT! Just like I did with this game. I have no problem starting over because the game is that cool!! BUY IT ON SALE!!! SOOOOOOOOOO worth the $35!!! Much more darker and seriouser than OW1. I like this one much better than OW1!! 7.7/10 I am using TSR 90% 1440p and med settings with Frame Gen turned on and im getting "80" fps!!! XeSS Ultra Quality 80fps - very high settings
I love the animations, guns feel awesome and Audio is excellent. Negative 1. The game is currently not loading up for me, it gets stuck on preparing shaders/textures. Something is wrong with the optimization of this game. 2. The game feels dead, and I think its because of the Npcs, I wish they added Ai llms to have natural conversations with npcs. That would save this game.
