Finished it on ps5, incredible game. 12 hours of pure magic, I had fun so much! 10/10 adventure

Awesome game that has gotten me into 2D platformers again. It's like going back to my childhood. I decided to play this one since I loved Sea of Stars and this is set in the same universe. It did not disappoint, which is an even bigger surprise since this is a totally different type of game. Everything works: the music, the humor, the difficulty (hard, but doable with lots of patience), replayability... Definitely recommended. If you like 2D platformers and/or Sea of Stars, give The Messenger a shot, you won't regret it.

Beautiful game, if you like 8bits/16bits design and music. And the mechanic of traveling from past to future in the levels is very nice. But 2 problems can waste your gaming experience: 1. Sometimes the game is horribly hard (sky ruins! and some bosses) 2. In the second part of the game, you will have to cross the levels again and again to find some objects needed to finish the game. But for me, the outcome is positive.

Fantastic game, not at all what I expected. The story is nice and at times endearing (it has just the right amount of humour, in my opinion), the learning curve is great and I enjoyed it a lot. I was expecting just a standard 2D platformer, and I'm glad I went in completely blind.

Juego bien bonito. Sus mapas son como los de un sonic, pero bien hechos, en que te incitan a ir rápido pero te castigan gravemente si fallas, dándote ganas de mejorar tu recorrido de niveles mientras re juegas los niveles por el tema de metroidvania. La música es hermosa, los gráficos igual, la historia es sencillita pero tiene unas implicaciones para un lore mayor bastante buenas (como el templo del sol y la luna). El único problema que puedo decir de este juego vendría a ser el no poder acceder a la sala de portales desde cualquier punto. Ya que tedioso es el tener que regresar a un portal cuando vas por un emblema de poder, ya que los portales pueden estar muy lejos, y los 3 o 5 minutos que se demora se sienten muy pesados. Pero si, este juego es espectacular lo suficiente como para decir que merece la pena independientemente de si está en oferta o no.
