A very fun drag that has high, highs and very low, lows.(Still a good game that fans of the trails series new and old should play for the first time or revisit.) What To Expect: This game tried to do what Sky SC did but it really messed up in many ways in my opinion. This game is the total opposite to the first it's not trying to play it slow, it has much more action and agency and yet it still suffers from feeling like many parts drag on and on. There were points where I debated just taking weeks long breaks because I was so burnt out just from this game. Which is very much a me problem as I know many fans place this game above Cold Steel I so play it and decide for your self. Combat: The same as the last with the addition of Mechs so just as great and fun. Final Thoughts: One of my least favorite Trails games but still a good game that is worth the time. It builds upon the previous game and had one of my favorite endings and it gives us someone who will become the best daughter. Towa, Sara, and Fie are still the best.
It's a good game but my god if i was a drinking man and i took a shot everytime the charcters acknoweldge both factions suck and Civil war sucks and we should be a 3rd party and were gonna do our own thing. But then bend overbackwards to help in the war effort and actively take a side. And then keep saying oh no we're just a 3rd party tehee and everyone just treats them like there a neutral 3rd party tehee. I'm gonna tehee my brains out. Like its trying to have its cake and eat it too. Even though realistically it doesent make sense for the charcters to be so against actively talking a side. Even if you use hindsight and future game knowledge knowing the side that wins the war goes onto be the villain for the next 2 arcs. Everyones friends familes confidants etc there all on this one side. Just let them join. Like look i get it. You want the heroes to have some degree of seperation if they back the big bad directly its a bad look players might feel too strongly. But like you gotta have it make sense. You cant have all there friends and family on this one side. And anyone whos not be kidnapped by the other faction and expect this 3rd party thing to really work well
Continuing my Trails journey, and coming from Azure, this game was definitely a downgrade. However, it's leaps and bounds better than Cold Steel 1, from the structure of the story, to the much more freedom you have in gameplay terms. I say it is a downgrade, but it's still a solid 8.5/10, and at least for me, the battle system only keeps improving game by game. The mech battles presented at the end of CS1 are definitely hit or miss, to me they were fine, but I know some people who would take them out from the game entirely. Story-wise, yeah, both CS1 and CS2 feel like a bit more childish in tone compared to the Crossbell games, but still, CS2 managed to pull off an emotional story and made me care a lot about some characters. The cast is so massive that not every character can get the same amount of development, but I'd say more than half of the cast is certainly interesting, and I even ended up crying close to the end. Another very big upside is the Divertissement, a short chapter that is played between the Finale and the Epilogue. For me, someone who loved certain characters from past games, it was an absolute treat. Overall a great game, I'll be starting CS3 soon enough.
se i nuovi personaggi saranno all'altezza
A direct upgrade to Cold Steel 1 when it comes to gameplay and mechanics, it's more fun to play and overall more satisfying than the first game.
If you liked the first game, you'll like this one. The story takes a lot of crazy twists and turns and a lot of the party members I thought were kinda "meh" in the first game became MUCH more likeable in this one. My ONLY complaint is the final, final, FINAL boss. If you're a master of strategizing with the quartz, you'll have a good time. If you're a smooth brain like me, you're going to want to commit sepuku. Even so, the game overall was a great time, even when I wanted to tear my hair out from the bull honky bosses. 10/10 would recommend.
i love the continuation of the trails series! Plan to play them all!
good game i like when it ends and i stop playing
