When I was deciding which version to play, reading the comments gave me the impression that I should play both since the experiences were different and that I should finish both... which I did. Now, I can safely say that the Gold version is worth it only for 30 more achievements and nothing else. The STCE version improves almost everything that was lacking in Gold. Not to mention new mechanics, new levels, and extended duration. So yeah, if you want to play only one version, go with this definitive edition and don't look back.
This has been sitting on my library for quite a long time, but I was glad to see that it has aged well. It's a fresh Metroidvania, maybe not super original mechanics-wise but honestly it's fun so who cares. I particularly enjoyed the colourful visual style inspired by Mexican and Aztec culture, and even the hardest platforming sections were nothing compared to what I had to deal with in games like Hollow Knight, so it was a chill and fun experience overall without being brain-dead. Just what I needed these days.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The art of brilliancy. The wisdom of skill. And The future of catching perfection These words don’t write itself by the game. The game give it up itself to your hands. Its beautiful, its charming, its everything that comes with good metrovanias alike. Game like this are born not that often but when it does come out it should be cherished by the sun of suns. Platforming is so tight and so perfect. Every jump every punch needs landing and the landing you will provide. Its not that punishing but needs your care and understanding but when it will click it will be super hard to let it go. Changing unique perspective dimension is just another layer upon painting you reveal. Time doesn’t matter but perfect timing is a must in this game. A hero must born in your heart. Charming, most confident and self respected. Not every hero wears mask but some do to provide legacy. Hands down one of most memorable, challenging and unique platformers. Join in and try this game and don’t forget to play Guacamelee 2 cause that game is even crazier than this one. This is just first step. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Not by this game
I prefer the Gold edition to this, because it's a more balanced, focused affair which feels more rewarding to play in my opinion. However that's not to say this is a bad game, here you have more frenetic energy with the new power up and area allowing for a more bombastic and less refined approach. Lots of fun to be had.
Great game with charming and unique visuals. If not for some inconsistent game mechanics and stupid challenges, it would be perfect.
Niemy film (gra) panie... Great metroidvania with a lot of soul to it. I always restart this and never finish it. I think I'll do that this summer.
